- that's a wrap for season one! if you couldn't tell, i am quite excited for season two.
nick and charlie are (officially) boyfriends! yay!! love love love how close they stuck to the graphic novel throughout this season, and i hope that continues into the next couple of seasons.
hope you all have enjoyed watching this with me :) buckle up for season two!

Alice Oseman, the author of Heartstopper the graphic novel, is also the showrunner of the Heartstopper TV series, so she probably knows what happens in book 6,
She is also the woman sitting nest to Nick and Charlie on the train in episode 8.

So excited to find your reactions! I can’t remember if it was in one of the books or mini comics, but Nick and Charlie have a discussion and they say Nick is a Gryffindor and Charlie is a Slytherin

Season 3 will cover volumes 4 and 5, and the novella This Winter. Alice has said they want a fourth season to cover volume 6, which they are writing now, but the show hasn’t been renewed yet. We’ll probably find out after season 3 is released.
I know you said you only vaguely remember the comics… interestingly, most of episode 8 was new for the show! In the comic there’s no real fallout from the cinema outing where Nick punches Harry, we just go straight to the beach date and Charlie’s unbothered. imo the show’s version where Charlie spirals is more fitting for his character, even though it’s sadder to watch. In the comic Tao also doesn’t find out about Nick and Charlie until Paris, but I think they wanted to put that storyline in season 1 because at that point they didn’t know if they’d have a second season and wanted to wrap up all the loose ends just in case.

One of the things Alice said she wanted to include with a 4th season was an epilogue. I would love to see this. This show means so much to so many people that their story deserves to be completed.
ahh now that you say that, i DO remember the graphic novels a little bit more. i totally forgot that tao doesn't know until paris. thank you for reminding me 🙌🏻

@@taketwo_TV Yeah, thankfully that’s not happening. Alice posted the other day about having finished a first draft of volume 6 (dialogue/plot, not drawings yet), so that’ll be the basis for season 4 if they get renewed. Alice also writes all the scripts, so in my mind the TV show and the graphic novels are both canon, even though the show expands on and deviates from the comic in some ways!

I'm bi & trans/non-binary and I love musicals. My favorite is probably We Will Rock You (based on the music of Queen), followed by Wicked. I've seen We Will Rock You 4 times and Wicked 2 times.

My favorite musical is Newsies. There are others I love, but none have ever given me as much brain rot as this one.
I also really love the theater group Team Starkid.
