You could imagine Johnny in John Wick 5 🤞☺️........armourer extraordinaire ...... "Ah Mr Wick I can whole heartedly recommend this"........obviously inside Holt's 🤞👍😉🤣
I had to split this up into a two part sitting as my head was spinning after about 45 mins. A bewildering show of guns and equipment I would probably have to spend a few days there and still walk away wondering what I have just seen. Good luck to Holts and their sales, the dedication and professional attention to detail and cataloguing is phenomenal and an achievement in itself. Good show JC and the crew!!! Well worth a look!!!
That Manufrance with the rifled barrel. I recall from "Shooting Times" years ago, an article featuring a French practice of shotgun barrel rifle. It was used to spread the pattern even more than cylinder for close shots in thick cover.
1:11:30 I have a 1986 Browning Citori Super Light 12 gauge, 26, 2 3/4 chambers with the same English stock from the factory. It looks just like this but with standard Citori engraving and not grade 6.
Thanks for taking the time to do this, a lot of what's in there is probably we'll out of my budget but it's great to see you pick out some interesting and different guns for us all to see.
Good evening, Johnny, what a good look around Holt's sale. A hell of a lot of guns in there!!!!!!! We hope you pick a few up at the right money. Please let us know - we know you will on some upcoming video🤣 Malc and Ann Lincs xxx
That was fantastic TGS ! I away enjoy the Holts videos Some of the guns in the auction are just incredible working pieces of art Love looking at the workmanship 👍.
Hello Johnny and Sasha. Just a note, please will it be possible for you to do side-by-side only video again in the future. The one you did before was fantastic 👍
I enjoy these videos immensely but can you please show a closeup of the detail you are talking about whilst you are describing it? The safety catch on the fabarm sounded great but we were looking at the foregrip release whilst you were talking about it. cheers
I'd pay more attention to the guns if only I could stop looking and laughing at the hair did. 🤣 Hope we're not going to be calling you Jenny anytime soon. 🤔
Great video - I’ve become interested in the Holts auctions thanks to this channel and am glad you didn’t show any of the things I’m thinking of bidding on in the Sealed Bid… unless you saying they’re nice would drive the value down..?!
Great fun. Almost like being there and sharing your enthusiasm. I do wonder about your comments concerning "American Damascus". To the best of my knowledge, Parker Bros. never made Damascus barrels. At one point, after tariffs were raised on imported barrels, they hired Belgian barrel makers as instructors and set up a forge here. The project was unsuccessful for a couple of reasons including the fact that the Belgians were paid 9 cents per hour whereas the Americans demanded 25 cents. Parker imported all of their Damascus barrel blanks. I think they were all Belgian. I know that Remington had one Belgian supplier but don't know whether they used others. In fact, the word "Remington" might be visible in their Damascus pattern. It can be very difficult to see but reflects amazing Damascus design by the metal smiths. L.C. Smith used foreign Damascus (? Belgian and some English) as well as English fluid steel barrels until they bought an English maker of crucible steel and merged it with their own so that they could label barrels "London Steel" to eliminate Whitworth as a supplier. As to the number of moving parts in Parkers, they were very aware of this and hired a firearms engineer who redesigned the action to reduce the total number to something like four. That happened at the turn of the 19th century. I'm sure there will be someone reading this who will recall that engineer's name, but I'll look it up, if you wish.
Que excelente museo de armas, todas las escopetas y rifles que nos mostraste están hermosas, muy buena explicación de cada una de ellas ..!! Muy bueno e interesante documental TGS l Outdoorsl..!! Excelente video..!!
Too bad the Holts online catalogue not working very well. After a little browse its jumping back to the main list. And after I didn't know where was I.
Alright, I'll admit that I'd want to take that Swedish pump for a spin, but I'll bet that, unless there's something seriously amiss with it, the Remington 31 on the list could teach it a lesson on smoothness. And I doubt you see many 31's over there.
Question for u--- I'm looking for a good over and under in 12ga for birds and skeet. I want something pretty. I was looking at beretta silver pigeon. Price range is around $2500 What's your best choices. And I'm in America
I always start going through the catalogue but give up,as a left handed shooter, tell Simon he should have categorie for l/h guns so easier to find them to bid on
Another highly appetizing gun-fest. I like the idea of that leather gun case, which on a Wiki search would have belonged to Prince Maurice of Battenberg 1891-1914. Thanks again Jonny.
When you say "Obsolete Firearm" what do you mean? Antique, Curio and Relic ect.....? I'm certainly aware British and American gun laws and classifications are different so I was just curious.
For $2k you can get a pretty good Brownijg or Beretta. Guns with the best and most solid actions in the world, I’m led to believe that their service isn’t top drawer over there but that doesn’t matter if your buying used.
Absolute gun porn. Always love these videos as they are so informative. Another well made video Johnny. Keep it going. Personally i cant look at the holts auctions these days as i would buy more and dont want another cabinet. May just have to get a bigger one 😅😅🍻🍻👍
@@HoltsAuctioneers. Gee tks for the info 😀 , I'll to look into it again and see what the fees are. A decade or so ago, seemed like it was cheaper to get a UK "Visitor's Shotgun Permit" and fly in to pick it up, than have one shipped...
I have firearms that my great grandparents ordered from catalogs from the 1930-50s that shoot just as good as they did back then. One is an H&R 922 that was 8 dollars, which is about 100 bucks today. You don't need to pay 10k plus for a gun your grandkids will shoot. All you have to do is appreciate what you have and take care of it. These are art investments, not firearm investments.
Time you’ve talked them up and paid the huge commission they are no longer bargains, expect they will all be taken away from us soon and only the crims will be able to own guns.

Wow! That was an amazing tour. Thank you for all you do. You're great!
Probably one of the best holts videos yet i’ll be having a look at the sealed bid for more things i don’t need to add to the collection !
There are some top top bits in this sealed bid.
That 28 bore Watson is a sweet looking gun !
It’s a real winner

Thanks for doing this video. Love your enthusiasm. I’m watching this and admiring them as much as you are. Absolutely stunning pieces of art.
American vs English gun videos are like a BBQ vs a High Tea. I prefer a full belly, and a tea drank out of a Yeti.
Love these auction previews.
Wonderfully natural enthusiasm for the beauty of gunsmithing. Genius presentation. Thank you so much.
That McKay Brown is stunning.
I wish my office was looking like Simons.....what a joy to be at work and workaholic. All those weird and wonderful weapons.
Like your pick and check absolutely awesome

great vid another learning day for me!.thank you.
I have a Breda Vega Special and yes it is the same as a Beretta 686 ☺️👍!
That left handed 28ga. is perfection for a lefty like myself. The type of firearm I aspire to.

Johnny put the 28 Keltic bore down. What a plus flavor I love it
“ for any one taller than Micheal” ouch! Lol
Another excellent video!
Due to catching Jonnyitis I may have a couple of bids in the sealed bid again 🙈.
I love these long format Holt's videos .
Good luck! Hope they are not the same as mine 😂
I think Simon’s going to have to start buying you a proper lunch, cos your enthusiasm for those lots is contagious.
I found one of the little Belgian 28 gauges on an auction site here in the states selling for $1,800. I wish we had your sxs market.
Thank you for explaining sleeving, I always wondered what it was when mentioned in your videos
You are most welcome!
I guess my concern is the additional vat, the auction rate and no warranty. Guns look good though.
I enjoy these videos immensely but can you please show a closeup of the detail you are talking about whilst you are describing it? The safety catch on the fabarm sounded great but we were looking at the foregrip release whilst you were talking about it. cheers
Hope they sell my AYA Coral! Lovely little gun I had had modified for my wife, but she's now hooked to SxS so... 🙂
So lucky to have access to an Auction house like that, some gems in that lineup
Great Hair along with another excellent show! thank you
Curious how do you feel about Irish guns? Lot 5888c Joseph Braddell single trigger 12 bore
😞 how did I miss that one!
It certainly looks interesting, but fixing that single trigger could be the stuff of nightmares
Are Irish guns like braddells, macnaughons and Keegan’s built to be fast like Scottish guns?
I'd pay more attention to the guns if only I could stop looking and laughing at the hair did. 🤣
Hope we're not going to be calling you Jenny anytime soon. 🤔

Some gold carvings on a black barrel would look nice
If that Fraser rifle were chambered in 6.5x55mm Swedish that would be the ideal, as well as the classiest deer rifle.
The Parker has a setter not a pointer, ps I worked 10 years for Winchester.

That 10 bore/Gauge Remington🤩
A bit of you?
@@tgsoutdoors I would like to own it, but it's completely useless 😄
Never stopped me Buying anything 😂
Unlike the heavy 10 gauge you showed us, a fine Parker Bros is nearly as fine as a bespoke English gun, especially an O or OO frame gun.

I put a few commision bids on & didnt expect to win any of them, oh dear, collecting budget now blown for the foreseeable future. It happens!
😂 it happens!
Any advice or recommendations to a person buying their first over under with $2000 (maybe 2400) budget? Any thoughts on a browning or CZ? Cheers!

That is a good question!

I’m a European citizen but also I’m a Canadian citizen I wouldn’t be able to buy for holds auction and to bring the gun in Canada
