I never watched the anime but a few weeks back i was skimming through manga to read and i just happened to click on this one. The ending of the manga in my opinion is great. But for some it might be a bid disappointing. Depends what your perspective is on the whole age difference thing.
Both anime and manga have a rather vague but optimistic ending. It both ends with parting, which is probably the logical route given the story context and main characters. I think the anime is more fun tbh cos of the ambiance and voice acting
