why are you not making any video, we are eagerly waiting for the next one. You are amazing. Your way of making us understand regarding perfumery is just mind blowing. Keep going man.
Great to see you back, thanks for the invaluable insight into your thought process and rationalising the how and the why of each decision and material. best of luck with the fragrance.
Hi, bro! It's great to see a recent vídeo on the channel. In the country Where I live there are dozens of reviewers. But none Address this topic. I'm thinking about exploring. Today I started making some changes to my channel. I intented to leave it at zero. Maybe I'll create a new channel to explore this topic.
Hello BK, I just came accross your channel few days ago and i was totally hooked, i have seen couple of your videos. Now i'm more motivated than ever to start creating my own fragrances. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion for free, and most of all glad to see you back and doing good !!
Thanks BK for the good perfumery work you are doing. Some of us really like and appreciate it. Kindly list out the materials you have mentioned or used in this video. It will help to get the correct names in wanting to purchase them for our own use.
Thanks BK! Always learn so much with your videos. Would love to see a video series on creating a perfume from conception to something semi-finished. I feel stuck going from building a few accords to building an actual perfume. Do you just pick out the materials, or are you building things out one material at a time?
Try just going by feel. Get yourself set up. Then after a run or exercise when you’re feeling inspired, throw on some good music and put together 5-10 separate perfumes. If it feels right add it, if not, don’t. Don’t think too much. Just keep in mind basic amounts each material needs to be restricted to. Let them sit for a week, and come back to them. If you have anything interesting, build from there tweaking it slowly.
Dear B, so nice to see you again¡. I have a request, at some point could you show us a tutorial of how you calculate the final amount of alcohol when you are working with both raws and dilutions in your final formula, how you "extract" the alcohol contained already in the dilutions in order to scale it propperly. Like many of us, i already have and work with the spreadsheet you gifted us
the KING is back!! Awesome video as always man! Your channel was elemental in starting my perfumery journey years ago and eventually my fragrance review channel that I have now. Always great to see your posts and your expertise!
Hi BK! I see you're not active on the BN forum anymore, will you be making more content? I kinda started perfumery cause of you so would love for you to continue! All the best
Hello, I really like your channel, I would also like to try creating fragrances, but I have a problem: some fragrances such as oud give me a headache, I would like to ask you if you have fragrances that can help with this?
I have a request if you don’t mind. Whenever you finish formulating a blend are about to dilute everything in alcohol to make it a finished product, how do you determine what percentage of alcohol to use? For instance, how do you determine which formulas you want to be at a parfum extrait concentration and which ones you’d prefer at an edp or edt concentration?
Which beach are you thinking of when you’re putting this together? What’s your inspiration? A very general beachy image or do you have a specific one in mind?
let us know how it goes after you mix PA's base with the pure 200 proof SDA 40-B to lower that ratio from 25% additives to about 6% additives. that'll be so much help from you!
Good day…. Great videos! I have a somewhat unusual question, are you from the Florida area of the U.S. I ask because-I thought I came across your profile somewhere else. On that site, I accidentally hit the X instead of like. If I have the wrong person, you can disregard this message. All the best! And keep sharing your passion with the world ! Blessings, 🌻
I follow your posts with great enthusiasm, for me you are an example! I want to start making perfumes, I'm ready, I've spent a lot of time studying this, I feel it, it's in me! For this, I don't know what kind of authorization and legal training I need. I want to make perfumes independently, at my home. For this I have to graduate from a perfumery or chemistry school, which takes a long time and costs a lot, or making perfumes can legally be part of something else? In my country where I live, Romania, there is no independent perfumery qualification course authorized by the Ministry of Labour, what can I do? Here, the law clearly states that in order to be able to activate, the authorized natural person must have a qualification in the field of activity. To what qualification would this job of manufacturing perfumes fit?
Hell yea. Feels like I walked outside and my missing dog just walked up 🤣. Not that you are a dog, or a pet or you were missing…lol but you get the idea.
Hello, I have a doubt, I saw another video, cant remember now, you found that 15% dilution is the fine spot between projection and fixation. The doubt is: In the same formula done at the same time aged the same all the same, can I assume that 10% dilution will project more and fix less, and 30% dilution will project less and fix more? Or its not a rule... thx
Hi sir. Good to see you crafting again. Can i ask ? Can we make perfume with flavor oil ? Hope you reply it. From malaysia and im learning so much from you during lockdown ❤
Believe it or not, a lot of materials we use for perfumery are also used in flavoring applications too. So yes, you can...but it really depends on the material. I would not go grabbing spices in my kitchen rack and putting it into my fragrances...if that's what you mean ;)
Hello! Thank you so much for the effort you put into these videos :) i’m learning a lot. I know it’s best for perfumes to be stored in a glass container. But for making big batches of perfumes, is it ok to mix them in a metal container? :) Was not able to find an answer to this question on the net :(
Hello~ I have a another question. I bought a fragrance oil inspired by a popular designer perfume (MFK Baccarat Rouge 540). I want to make this into a perfume. My understanding is that I only need to mix fragrance oil and *alcohol* to turn it into a perfume. I get confused because I see other people adding alcohol + DPG + water. I don't quite understand what the DPG and water is for...
Oh yes, I have a tall regular fridge to store things, and it's already full at capacity, lol. I keep all my citrus essential oils in there, as well as a few precious naturals or aroma chemicals that I want to preserve longer. I keep the fridge temp set at it lowest setting possible. I don't want to chill or keep things cold ..I just want to keep the items in a controlled climate where the temperature never changes and is steady.
@@bkscents7050 I worry about fridge temp vs room temp for condensation, I moved my temp to 59 in the fridge earlier. Most places use argon at 52 or 53 F to preserve things. Do you know what temp your at?

Hey BK. You might wanna try Cascalone instead of Calone sometime. It's such a lovely mat!
Agreed! I have cascalone. But to me cascalone smells like pure clean water, and doesn't have the green sea vibe original calone has.
@@bkscents7050 same to my nose, except that Calone has a weird cucumber skin note in the background that sort of hovers over everything.
