I recently started playing the banjo for the first time since 1970 when I boughht a Aria Pro II banjo - it is a great banjo but weights 17 lbs and at age 80 sorta heavy to carry around. So, I followed your lead and purchased a Goldtone AC-1 yesterday - it will be here Monday and at 4lbs with arm rest I am anxious to get in the game. Your videos have been so well thought out and helpful. Thanks!
Glad you are getting back to banjo. Yes, you'll appreciate the lighter weight option. That Aria is a good banjo. The AC-1 won't have quite the brightness or volume, but does the job in every other way.
I have to laugh.... since I feel like I am starting out all over again, not playing a loud banjo is a blessing for all within earshot. @@EddieCollinsMusic

@@josefdetzer3260 I use an app called iReal Pro. Fast version is at 220 BPM and the slow version is att 110 BPM
