Sir while I performing impact analysis on cold formed steel column I obtained the deformation vs time graph as increasing then a small decrease and after that constant why the pattern is like this?
Usually increase and after that decrease is observed?

Sir if we are analysing vehicle impact is it necessary to restrict y direction car movement at its bottom?
