    Great review man. Just a few questions, with regard to the sizing. Would you say it’s true to size the same as what you wear with Nike or adidas? And also, is it ok to use on AG?

    • @upper90football_
      @upper90football_ 10 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, they fit true to size for me. I also feel safe using them on AG because of the short conical studs.

    Its only the limited edition gold colourway that they launched with that are with a full leather upper, all other colourways like these ones only have leather in the forefoot and fake leather in the midfoot. But seeing as many dont even know this might speak to the quality of the fake leather used. Im really sad I missed out on the gold ones...

      @@philippentchev7373 Im not 100% sure, but it you look at the pictures of the limited edition gold colourway that we know are full leather and the normal white and black colourways that are not, you see a big difference in how the leather forefoot and how the syntethic midfoot looks as leather has this distinc look to it. The new limited edition beyond orbit looks like the forefoot and midfoot are the same material and looks to be the same as the gold colourway. but again im not 100% sure.

    is the mid foot real leather? I have asked a few retailers and their answers are always synthetic midfoot/synthetic leather midfoot.

    I had these boots for almost a year now and the wide fit is by far the most comfortable boots I’ve worn. The leather is not
    too thick or thin but it provides a beautiful touch on the ball. Juggling was so seamless and pretty solid for striking the ball. The only down side after 6 months of using is the sole plate. Be careful using it on AG because it tends to split open on the edges . Lastly, the studs provide mediocre traction on FG and AG but if your someone who does not run a lot or change directions frequently this boot is perfect for you.

      I did notice that I was slipping in these boots last time I wore them (the pitch was also wet). That being said, they are really comfortable!

    Really interested in these boots. I usually wear Nike Premier III's in an 8.5 US, which fit perfectly. How would the 442's sizing compare? Stay true to the size or half size down?

  • @CognizantCheddar

    Wish it had more conicals, to relieve stud pressure. The soleplate is too aggressive for cheap AG pitches.
    This boot represents a pet peeve of mine -- if a boot goes with conicals at all, it's already choosing agility and comfort over aggressive traction, so going with fewer/longer conical studs is effectively fence-straddling. It only compromises what conicals are actually best for.
    I suspect New Balance only goes with this soleplate because they can't be bothered to offer a proper SG soleplate.

    • @upper90football_
      @upper90football_ Год назад +2

      I noticed more stud pressure on the Adidas Copa Mundial by comparison. The 442 didn’t seem too bad, maybe because the soleplate is a more rigid material.

    • @CognizantCheddar
      @CognizantCheddar Год назад

      @@upper90football_ On high quality AG pitches with good depth, FG plates are generally fine. But I live in the southeast US, where even real grass pitches get rock hard in summer, and every damn AG pitch in the city is years overdue for renovation. 😑
      But you're right that a too flexible soleplate is just as much of an issue for stud pressure as the studs themselves. That's why despite being a guy that grew up with Copas, I don't use them now. Their soleplate density wasn't intended for anything but real grass, and the materials are the same now as they were 40 years ago.

    These were my first pair of boots since I stopped playing just getting back into it. I'm size 12 wide fit with a "flat foot". For anyone concerned with comfort I'd say these are pretty freaking comfortable. I will say that the heel area gave me blisters at first but part of that is probably the fact that I wear s***** Amazon socks when I play.

      Hello, I have been playing soccer for 4 months and I also bought the 442, they feel very comfortable compared to other cleats. I also have flat feet and even though these cleats feel more comfortable compared to others, I still feel pain in my knees, Achilles, and ankles, which really bothers me and limits my performance on the pitch. Do you have any tips or helpful exercises for flat-footed players?
