hey bud, hope you doing fine. I feel the same. My dad passed away in March and he also would've hated this song, but it reminds me of him in a way only few other songs can. We used to do everything together and even tho I know he knew how much I loved (and still love) him, I feel guilty for not saying "I love you" enough times. Damn, now I have a lump in my throat...
That’s actually funny because both groups are going to the Pitchfork music festival that’s taking place at Mexico City on March. They’ll get to perform almost the same day, too.
These cats on the greatest run ever. And that was like years ago. Armand Hammer in their own league now just playing against themselves. Such consistently profound music. No wasted lines, verses, or hooks. Each piece of work is deep raw truth tinted with every emotion on the spectrum of life. From anguish, despair and rage, to apathy, hope, amusement, joy, ecstasy, and pockets of enlightenment. Somehow they can traverse this incredible range of existence in a single line, verse, song, or reflect it all at once. Their power at conveying imagery and their ability to whisk you away to any location or period of history is just absurd. Dudes take you to different dimensions and planets, dark jungles, post-apocalyptic wastelands, the astral plane, and more through the lyrics and beats. And it’s like each successive release offers more context to the last in this rich interplay, this brilliant living tapestry with infinite jewels to mine and live with, providing new context and interpretation to your life as you’re living it. I know for the rest of my life I’ll be listening to Armand Hammer. And I’ll put my kids on to them so them and their kids will do the same. What a time to be alive indeed.
What a perfect fucking way to put it. Wow. I cannot relate and agree more with your words. Armand Hammer is a gift to music and I’m so thankful I know them.
The fanboys of billy woods / Armand Hammer / etc. are strange to me. This music is nowhere near that good. It's solid hip-hop. Definitely doesn't take me to different "dimensions and planets." I'm glad they have fans like this, though, so they can keep making music. Reminds me of Aesop Rock stans.
This is some injury reserve artistry. Y’all really nailed that industrial, cold, gloomy feel. This is what a day in the city feels like when it’s grey and discouraging
"I had to let it all go so I can live in my head...Again" What a verse by woods. Moving, Personal, beautiful. Touches your soul. One of the fucking GOATS 🔥
Another reasons they’re on top. Their actual bonus tracks cook whatever the hell else these bozo rappers are trying to scam with double albums and deluxe editions.

It's so crazy because there has been a mourning Dove outside my window for quite some time now, and it sits out there calling for a mate in rain, hail, sleet, or snow. Hell, there was even a tornado yesterday and it was still out there! That's some dedication. This might be one of my favorite songs ever, every line holds deep meaning. I really love the unsettling tone because instead of being comfortable and jamming out to this like any other song, you have to think about it, and this gives a great listening experience. The deeper and longer unsettling tones almost turn into beautiful sonorous tones, finding beauty out of chaos and giving you an overwhelming feeling of calm and longing. This piece is beautiful, thank you so much.
