Thanks for playing my Dad's Brighton Beach march. Very nice job - perfect speed and great musicality. I love You Tube so I can hear so many performances of my late Dad's works. Carol Latham.
This community Band is better than the Ohio State Band was I just on You Tube. wow congrats I remember when this march was a required piece at Floridas state Band contest. I liked it . It was nice to hear it again. (50 yrs later)
Hi, Carol, Thank you so much for your kind words. I (the piccolo player for 25+ years in this band) love marches by William Latham. At our most recent 'formal' concert (Oct. 27, 2012, a tribute to William Toland, our first and long-time music director), we played "Proud Heritage" by your father. I love his music; and I liked our rendition so much that I put the video on my own Facebook Page. So very glad to hear from you! Laura Finkelstein (long-time piccolo player in The Concord Band)
Interesting, I played the flute and piccolo also. Piccolo is a fun part to play. I would like to see the Proud Heritage video too. Thanks for your reply. Carol.
Hi, Carol, I just today (May 9, 2013) posted The Concord Band's performance of "Proud Heritage", which we played on April 13, 2013 at our Spring Pops Concerts, on The Band's Facebook Page. It should also be right here on our RUclips Channel. I thought it sounded quite nice; I love both marches by Latham. Laura
This group performs this march pretty well but far too fast. This is a British March and should be performed at about 114-118 beats per minute and this group performed near 130 BPM and it loses the British flavor at that speed.

Props. RUclips is incredible . . .
