I worked in the publishing industry for 19 years but have been involved in only one marketing campaign, so this live chat was very helpful and informative.

Thanks for the great video. I am close to publishing my first novel. I have a zero dollar budget. 😂😂😂 They rebuilt my spine three years ago and a few months after i went down like Humpty Dumpty. So I am trying a new way of doing things. Don't know if you'll see this but I wanted to thank you. Your videos have been a Godsend. It will not be perfect but I think it's pretty good. I wrote the story I wanted to read. So, thank you very much. 😊

QR Scan Codes - is it a good idea to professionally 🖨 print a bunch of QR Scan Codes on a sticky note (also add free 1st Chapter) and post everywhere you go? The QR will take you directly to your book.

I have a question about something that Sarra said at 32:57. She says she doesn't do Facebook ads, but she does newsletter ads. What does that mean, "newsletter ads," and how do you do them? Thank you both for this amazing resource! I've already watched it twice and I'm taking notes! You're two of my favorite teachers and I appreciate you both so much!
Oh yeah great question! I can definitely help with that. She's referring to what are commonly called promo and deal sites aka newsletters that allow you to share your promotion/deal (a sale on your book). The biggest one at the moment is called BookBub (and I'd definitely recommend you check it out, they have two types of newsletter advertising, but the one Sarra is referring to is their "Feature Deal") and then you can search for other newsletters that advertise free or discounted books like BargainBooksy/FreeBooksy, etc. This is a slightly complicated strategy, but I did make a video about BookBub in the past, so I'll link that here if you want to know more! :) ruclips.net/video/sdKDHjeEUIw/видео.html

Hey Nicole! Not for new students unfortunately... it closes tomorrow until the next time it's open in February. Current students have lifetime access all year round, but once it closes tomorrow the next chance to sign up will be in 2023. :)

Totally understand that, I'm actually a nervous wreck on lives like this myself haha! I think there's TONS of marketing you can do without ever having to even show your face, such as the BookBub Feature Deal type of advertising and similar promo and deal sites!
