To the parents who did not have early development children. It is OK if you baby is. Not sitting up on there own or crawling at 6 months. Normal range is between 6-9 months for independent sitting and 9-12 months for crawling and standing... You ARE DOING AMAZING. Your baby will get there each child is different.

If your baby is not sitting up before 8-9 month range then they have a developmental delay. It’s usually not the fault of the parents, but it’s still a delay.

@@Amanda6532 no that's not true. Not only do the books, doctors and online say that a baby can take between 7-9 months for independent sitting. my daughter is sitting. I am just having problems with getting her to sit independently. That's not a delay that's just when she is ready to. Please don't diagnose online, with blanket statements. This is harmful more then anything. You should be saying if u have any question seek medical help.

Mine were early too, I assumed it was normal to walk between 6months to 12months until I saw other children weren't there yet. It's OK, I learned to be happy for the milestones the other babies were able to accomplish.

Actually my daughter did everything very early, crawling and sitting at 6 months on her own, standing up and walking at 11 months, but it doesn't mean that's better than doing it later. Except for me😅 my arms and back could finally breathe..

My next child sat at eight months, crawled at 10 months and walked at 18 months
The third one hated being on her front so had no interest in crawling. She was walking across the room at 11 months but didn’t learn to crawl until she was 12 months
They are all adult now.
Every child is different and milestones are achieved at different times. Embrace the uniqueness and don’t worry if your child can’t yet do what your friends child can
