You mean Assault Riffles? They seem to be doing fine, they don't shred as well as SMGs in cqb. I don't see what would be the point of increasing their recoil beyond what they already have. They simply have a more "stationary" gameplay.
@@masterofreality230thing is, these guns were used to have 50+ damage with long barrel in beta, and the whole balance was done around that two-shot-kill ability. Now, when it's gone, these guns are literally worse than all the other competitors
damage increase is almost negligible since it still takes 4 shots to kill, it'll only help out by keeping that 4 shot kill by probably a few meters due to dmg drop off. It *might* make a difference shooting against more armored guys but I don't know the how armor works in this game (doubt it will make a difference still since its such a small increase).
I put together a weapon spreadsheet during the playtest and the decrease in horizontal recoil on the quick mag really threw me off. The build I use is pretty much exactly the same, swapping for suppressor on night maps.
great gun, MP5 kinda outclasses it tho thanks to it having a more competitive TTK. Also, if you like the PP19, I highly recommend trying out the SG550, it's basically the same archetype, just in the AR class.

This game is the lovechild of squad and battlefield and it takes the best of both worlds. So no squad might be a fun game but i prefer the battlefield kinda pace

Just passed level 45 last weekend. Might give this a shot, although I've grown accustom to being able to engage in medium range conflicts.
You can still easily spray people down with the PP-19 at medium range with its super low recoil

The MP5 is a very nice weapon, I believe it is better than the PP-19. That’s the next weapon build I’m working towards.

Squad is a great game, but this game gives me almost the same feeling but at a faster pace and easier to jump in and out.
