it's not pronounced La Drang, it's Ia (pronounced ya) Drang...it's a famous valley and battle in the early years of the vietnam war....involving elements of the US1st Air Cavalry Division and North Vietnamese regiments....the Mel Gibson movie WE WERE SOLDIERS is a fairly accurate film of the battle...the North Vietnamese introduced the battle tactic of 'hold them by the belt' meaning fighting so close that superior American fire power couldn't be fully employed...it came very close to a big defeat for the American forces....

I've watched a few other gameplay vids on YT earlier today and I'm still undecided. The graphics are pretty good etc, but the RTS puts me off a little, as well as comments from the other reviewers regarding gameplay and difficulty. Going to have to look into it more, I think as the period really does interest me, and the overall idea appeals.
