All income in the operations phase only is doubled as pointed on 24:12 I think you sell companies in another phase. (mergers) sorry for the delay in my response Tyler (sleeping)
Neat. Very neat! Thanks so much! A small question though: is company expansion mandatory every round or can a player refuse to do it? And what happens if a player cannot afford the full cost?
You probably mean if "Operating" a company is mandatory. Yes , it is. You can choose the order of companies to operate but in the end you should operate all of them, and you must select an order so that you avoid coming to this situation (of being unable to pay negative income) When operating you must do all, sell goods , receive income, expand in this order. Negative income can happen but not having money to cover it is so rare a phenomenon that its almost unrealistic. However, after you spend all your remaining money, pay the rest from the bank and make a note of this amount to return it as soon as you get it in the future. In any case , you surely 'f...d up', don't expect winning ... :P
@@peakyboardgamer no problem ^^ I'm really excited to play it! Unfortunately the pandemic only allows us to play it on TTS. But I guess it's better than nothing :D thanks so much!
@@peakyboardgamer Looking at your channel; dude you’ve been throwing out some videos haven’t you? A lot of good work. What determines which games you will review? Seems like they’re all over the place regarding published date. Something as old as Indonesia and others more recent.
@@greginfla_1 thanks for spending time checking the channel's content. Of course I am trying to make videos of newer games to bring more attention, but I also do videos for games which I believe deserve the time that I will spend. Such as the great Indonesia.
at 21:30 the player can not transport the last rice with the southern yellow sea sailboat becasue here is no ship in the next sea zone that connects to the level 2 city? Or better worded, why can't the player use the yellow sailboat looking boat to transport last rice? thanks
If another yellow ship was in the sea area to the right, it would be possible to send the rice. You need to use ships from a same ship company for each dispatch. You need to pay for each ship used. And the ship must have enough capacity
Great video! But I think you did a minor mistake at 19:38 in calling a yellow city level 2, and a green city level 1 while it's opposite according to the rules, but I guess some people arrange it themselves depending on what markers they have 12 and 8 of. ;)
thanks for the video. This is the best rules explanation of Indonesia on the internet!
Thanks for watching
Extremely helpful - your graphical overlays were terrific.
Thank you Stephan
Great video. Your explanations are very clear. Thanks.
Thanks for watching Nicolas!
This was fantastic, thank you! Can't wait to play this game!
Thank you fro the excellent video. Your channel has become our go to channel to learn new games.
You are welcome! Hope this channel gets even more attention so I am able to shoot newer and more anticipated games.
How does doubling income work in the final year? Is this ONLY the income earned from shipping and selling goods, or is it ALSO selling companies?
All income in the operations phase only is doubled as pointed on 24:12
I think you sell companies in another phase. (mergers) sorry for the delay in my response Tyler (sleeping)
Is that an app you’re using for calculating merger bids?
Nah. Just an excel spreadsheet I created
Neat. Very neat! Thanks so much!

No I really meant expanding a company. 22:00
@@InVinceIble009 Oh sorry. If you havent sold all your goods ( in which case the expansion would be free) then you MAY expand

Great tutorial…now where can I buy this game?!? Haha
It was out of print for many years. Then they reprinted it a few years ago. I dont know if its again out of stock. Check www.splotter.nl
I thought the game used paper money not cardboard tokens was I wrong?
You are right. I use chips for convenience.

The southern sailboat is not connected to the city in demand. There is a sea border that has to be crossed.
If another yellow ship was in the sea area to the right, it would be possible to send the rice. You need to use ships from a same ship company for each dispatch. You need to pay for each ship used. And the ship must have enough capacity
