The Astro Awards are a great way to provide annual recognition to the spaceflight industry and to gather the community together. Thanks for interviewing two of the key players and for asking my question, Ellie.
“I’ve got one EDM track of nothing but cutting, welding, and machining of spacecraft… I’ve got a whole thing for my hot nozzle people… that’s my vibe.” I love your vibe, Scott!
I love watching you, Tim, and Scott report on these rockets and the science. The enthusiasm and genuine passion is evident unlike the conventional media. You all also try your best to keep the politics out of it and keep it factual which makes it more interesting and informative.
Great Interviews interviewing the interviewers Ellie. Both of them are great, but Scott is amazing when you consider he does it all himself out of his own pocket.
Just came back from the Astro Awards - what an incredible experience!!! All these people I used to watch on RUclips for years were right in front of me and I got to talk to many of them, not to mentioned the astronauts, key industry people, and other fantastic panelists. They are all so down to earth, really cool people who are passionate about what they do. Scott’s DJ set yesterday was fantastic! Dancing on awesome music with rocket videos playing in the background - it was like a fever dream! Thank you all so much for this amazing event 🚀🚀 P.S - Ellie I saw you walking on the 6th street with your partner while I was going to the Vulcan Gas Company for the concert. You were probably going back after shooting these interviews. I immediately recognized you and mentioned it to my friend. Hopefully, next time I get to see you again and talk to you for a bit.
Scott, get an instrument rating .You already have sufficient time and technical and scientific knowledge that is out of the world. CFII here, also member of the Viking Mars lander team, which safely landed Vikings 2 and 1 on Utopia Planitia and Chryse Planitia, 22.27 North, 312.05 East In most of my flying I filed IFR flight plans. The only time I had to divert was due to severe icing. It is the safest way to travel and enjoy it.
Mary took me to Starbase for her only vacation. We missed seeing anything major, but we both touched SN15.😭😭😭😭😭 Eff Disneyland, I cannot wait till our kids are inspired by engineering again. It just takes parents(their heroes) watching, enjoying, and celebrating humanities' engineering accomplishments. Kids watch, rinse, improve, repeat. Turn on Saturday morning Marcus House, followed by Scott da Man, and catch up on Ellie in Space deep dive news interviews from pivotal people in the space community. Or Dj'ing.. Everyone keep going and get your kids involved and excited. America needs to play "How many engineers can you make this year?"🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks, Ellie. I really love Tim and Scott as well as you for all the work that you share with us. Hope you get to interview Tim at Scott more in the future.
two parts here. Great that I started out with Mr. Manly and Every Day Astronaut, and finding so many more at my age all i really remember is watching Walter Cronkite giving updates on the evening news, yea way before internet and live streaming.second part if someone could ask Mr. Manly now that he is pilot if he is going to attend EAA in Oshkosh Wisconsin.
0:48 also, we have nobel. But what is really missing is that space themed one. It is like science and engineering in one package. We really should celebrate engineering more.
Great Video ! Are you going to cover the ISDC 2025 or later ? Went to ISDC 2001 and ran myself into the ground ! Met three Prof. from UW-Madison who talked on Lunar mining ! They talked on the recovery of Lunar Oxygen (LUNOX-TM) and Solar Wing Gasses from the Lunar Regolith ! Another Hot topic was SSTO and RLV with a back-up plan of TSTO (Two Stage To Orbit)... A.K.A. Falcon 9 ! Before Elon there was Robert Zubrin talking about Mars ! Timothy Lipinski
Damn tasty episode with T & S - to see especially S in his DJ citizenship - would love to see some footage from his performance! EDIT - that ADIDAS sound tech seemed to have his worst case scenario with audio connections - calling to National Sound Tech Crisis Line lol
I've never travelled outside of Europe. And well... It's not my hobby to travel around the world. But I want to see a Starship launch and catch as close as you can get at Boca Chica (hey, even closer on Mexico's side, how's that?). And see it up close. But having a full time job, ticket prices etc. it's not so easy to just on a whim travel there. Launch cadence needs to go up before I dare to travel, to have a reasonable chance to see it within a few weeks. BUT (now it gets relevant to this video), I'm thinking that maybe I can combine it with a visit to Astro Awards. Then it will be something else to look forward to. Yeah I know Boca Chica and Austin aren't next to each other but when traveling across the Atlantic it seems reasonably close to each other.
Tell Scott to be careful as he approaches 400 hours. In the Air Force it was noted at that time you start to become over confident but still were dangerous.
Really appreciate the content. I mean this in the nicest way, the production quality could use a few improvements (video quality, composition, editing, audio/dynamic mics/removing background noise in post)
With regards to Elon saying there was a 50/50 chance of destroying the pad. Well they actually launched with 3 engines out and had other failures just after clearing the tower, plus there’s the concrete tornado. Yeah I suspect their estimate was probably about right.
from what I have seen....the most difficult challenge to going to...and occupying mars is clearly the radiation issue......no one as of yet has even presented any potential viable answer to this problem.....its like solving the radiation issue is such a challenge that no one wants to even speculate on how to solve it...

Thanks ellie, tim, and Scott! So cool to see you guys together! What an exciting time to be alive!!

Love that Scott gave us a tour of his DJ rig.
I Value Scott Manley over any other science yt creator. He's the best.
A award ceremony for actual achievements. I’m on board.
Anytime you interview Scott Manley & Tim Dodd on the same video, it's going to be fantastic!
Keep up the good work.
Cheers from Alaska
Thanks for dropping this so quickly, Ellie. I love to hear what these two guys are thinking.
Great Interviews interviewing the interviewers Ellie. Both of them are great, but Scott is amazing when you consider he does it all himself out of his own pocket.
Don't they all?
RUclips doesn't pay enough for content creation.
@ Its called sponsorship - many, not all, are sponsored to create content.
I really enjoyed this interview with Scott Manley. Thank you for bringing this to your followers.
As usual great on the fly interviews. Thank you
Oh, this looks interesting! Thanks Ellie!
Hope you like it!

Okay, now I want to attend the next Astro Awards!
@ If you can, please go. It is definitely worth it. You’ll find your tribe.
We love all you guys in the UK, thanks for bringing all the coverage you do! Astro awards is a great idea!
Great interviews I always enjoy the enthusiasm of Tim and the pragmatism of Scott Manley. My launch song would be ‘My Star’ by Ian Brown
settled in for this . our fav space ppl !! 🎉🎉
Ellie, you got another SCOOP!!! Well done!
Thanks, Jack! I try to interview people while they’re in my backyard!

Hey, Ellie, your interviews are always interesting.❤
Thank you! I’m really glad you like them 😊
Very good interviews Ellie. 😅

Awesome behind-the-scenes interviews! Great questions and cool to see them setting up for the show
They were really good interviews Eliana. More like a conversation than a series of questions, it flowed really well. Nice work.Great content.
Thanks, Ellie. I really love Tim and Scott as well as you for all the work that you share with us. Hope you get to interview Tim at Scott more in the future.
I‘m distracted 😂 3 audio technicians troubleshooting a stereo pair and maybe a HDMI out. 😅
I enjoyed your interview with Scott. Thank you.

Fabulous interviews!
And good Job with putting Scott in his place. Wow, You're previous experience as a reporter is really showing.
There will be a time you need awards for "Mars / Moon / Interstellar..."
What a great interview. The real Scott Manley.
He’s so awesome
0:48 also, we have nobel. But what is really missing is that space themed one. It is like science and engineering in one package. We really should celebrate engineering more.
Great interviews Ellie. Nice work. Thanks
Didn't SpaceX issue a statement saying it was a RUD ? If this was the case, i doubt the FTS was activated. Your thoughts ?
What is this, a crossover episode? lol
I Love Scott Manley so im definitely not complaining.
Just a random series of questions with the two biggest space RUclipsrs on the planet!
I would be there ... but I'm in the UK. Great job Tim, Ellie & all of you
Amazing to have an award ceremony which incenses STEM, and constructive use of it!
Great interviews. Thanks, do much!!
Terrific interviews!
Very good, thanks Ellie~
Great one, Ellie!
Great interviews!
14:33 I think march is the best bet as well. They have more stuff to do, and some regulatory stuff, but it should not delay more than 1 month I think.
He should send the van into space with Elon's Tesla 😅😊
😅
Ellie.....tell Scott to listen to Telstar by the tornados. it's inspiring! Thank you Lady for everything!
Ellie did a great job :-)
Dang! That 30 minutes away for me! Id love to go!
Regarding Scott’s space playlist, I suggest he add the soundtrack from “Silent Running” by Peter Schickele. Should go nicely with Lalo Schifrin.
Felix quote “You Rock!” Ellie, Tim and Scott
Oh dear lord, I want to hear this!
You can tell Scott was over it 😂😂😂 he is like ok "that's enough question"😂
Sounds like a blast

Copying that slogan. "Less rockets designed by politicians and more rockets designed by rocket scientists!"

I was at the event. Didn’t see you Ellie!
Radiation!!!
Ty!!
I jus’ love all yuns!!

I would like to call it, Nerds Awards. 😊
Is it too late to fly down?

Oi Ellie in space você é excelente ❤❤❤❤uma boa noite de domingo dia 26 de janeiro de 2025 horas 21:31 🕒.
wow something else… 🎉
Why does 'crazy' replace so many descriptive words in America? Is there a tax on them?
With regards to Elon saying there was a 50/50 chance of destroying the pad. Well they actually launched with 3 engines out and had other failures just after clearing the tower, plus there’s the concrete tornado. Yeah I suspect their estimate was probably about right.
DJ use QNX Sound?
They had a leak, and the vent wasn't big enough
The person who was working on the part 😮
Elon said there going to make the vent bigger 😊
🎶 Mars ain't the kinda place to raise your kids. In fact, it's cold as hell. 🎶 Sir Elton John.
Tim pulled a zuckerberg. LOL I saw it. I would too if I was him.
Sorry, I couldn't hear what Scott was talking about. Crew making way too much noise. I think they were doing it on purpose.
I literally wondered if they were being loud to sabotage my video
too bad its not a round tower that can rotate 300 Degrees to catch at the other side away from the launch pad
hullo :)
Okay you looser podcasters, let's see you try to top this! Six run home run space girl!!
😃
And that’s why S.Manley doesn’t work @ SpaceX.
DJs are by far the most useless existence. But there are more useless existences. So hang in there buddy.
wallah ces mamelles mon gadjo
I really liked Scott when he was doing KSP but now he seems to be getting increasingly insufferable.
AI is not in everything. AI is a made up term. People make things work. Humans. There is no AI, its just talented humans being great

Not a huge fan of Scott since he was so quick to exaggerate flight 7 explosion. I used to follow him, and i may again in the future, I don't know.
Are we going tp watch more taxpayers money blow up?
12 years no orbit . Heat tiles still fall off . Starship never caught
Your ignorance is showing through... Might wanna hide that a bit better... Try reading a book or something else.
I think someone is watching Asmongold 🤔
March fourteenth of course! 3.14 of course is next flight! You can have your π and eat it too! ⅢⅬⅩⅠⅤ
