they killed it tbh. visually its probably the greatest indian film, the details look amazing. i understand that the trailer cut didnt reveal much, and also the bgm isn't amazing. but im guessing it's just a tease. also i really hope there is some kind of a twist that makes prabhas kalki instead of the baby.

Yeah that's what i was telling my friend, the way they marketed the movie is awesome and most importantly that san diego comic con decision was out of the box nobody did this from india for attracting superhero movie lovers it's good marketing strategy .

I agree with you on all accounts regarding the quality of content and snippets they have put out, but I feel they have kinda missed a trick by not continuing with the individual character intros, I also feel they should have built more hype, I still think the hype is not there, the way it was for an Animal or an RRR.

My only nit pick is the dubbing of some charectors like deepika, may be it was a conscious decision to keep it that way since it's kaasi and people from all over the world lives there as it is the lasf standing city in the world.
6:28 if you wanna know what is this then you wanna watch the Bujji and Bhirava animated series episode 2, in that perticular episode bhirava get a digital cloning device from his Bounty when he faced him, So i think bhirava used that digital cloning device in that particular scene in the trailer

Trust me, prabhas is gonna ruin the film with his emotion less face. Nag ashwin could have used a more experienced actor as a protoganist for a big budget film like ranbir kapoor, surya, vijay or dulquer. These guys did 60-70 movies and they know how not to make the audience awkward while watching the film.
I personally feel that chiyan vikram would suit for these big budget films.

the awareness made was huge for sure. and since the budget is too high, they should bring the huge number of people in to the theatres for the opening to secure atleast half of it in the first weekend. But still i feel the characters they trying to project create disconnect among tamil audience. will wait and see.

I think that last shot is the representation of the tech that bhairava snatches from the kid in B&B Episode 2. Ability to create holograms ?
If I am the story writer, I will use to sparingly in 1st half and wont use it again through out the movie and make it look like prabhas sacrifised himself and end the movie there by creating a redemption arc of saving kalki/deepika and bring him back in Part 2 as a out of the box surprise.
Telugu cinema is a great game changer for indian cinema led by rajamouli, sukumaar and prashant verma. Now nag ashwin carrying it forthwith!

Honestly speaking I am finding the trailer bit underwhelming. Maybe my expectation was something else.
I did like Ashwathama's scene in the trailer ,it had gravity and grace but it's when Prabhas jokey attitude comes in it takes down hill from me. Probably it just me not getting south Indian comedy.
Also everything looks fake and polished. Even the Sambala fort weapon looks cheap.
I am puzzled on how they can get such great look of Ashwathama but everything else looks as if done on set. Just how? It's the same movie! Lol.
But regardless of me not liking it as much I expected. I am still happy and excited for it. Afterall hardly in India such concepts are being made.
And I have hope that this will deliver at story bcs I have noticed south director do provide complete story.
But I wished they didn't spoil Deepika's character. Now it's obvious that the villain wants Deepika's baby to transfer his consciousness into his. And Bhairava will protect her.

You are absolutely right, they are killing it in marketing which is required for the mass audience. The only difference is, in the west more than the studio, then fans create the rest of it instead of the studio itself. One set of audience you missed is the Indian Desi Sci-Fi audience, there is a big group here which the studios don't know. My only pet peeve is prabhas, I am not convinced that he is the correct fit, I know he is a good actor but we need a natural who can do justice to this character. I believe the kind of relationship with the robot and the comedy it brings out, ARYA might have been a good fit.

I am not a hater, i absolutely loved him in Baahubali. But since then he has lost his charm. The guy used to radiate elegance!!.i just don't feel that anymore when he comes on screen.
In the west, Sci Fi movies or concept makes the actor a star.
Here producers have to depend on a star to sell their concept or vision which is another drawback as 1/3rd of their movie budget goes to the actor, which otherwise could have been invested into the movie.
Nevertheless, i wish this movie to be a game Changer of Indian film industry❤

They Copied deserts and costumes from Dune+ Copied Darth vader and imperial army from Star wars+ Road battles and Citadel city water from Mad max film series+ Vehicles and cybercity from Cyberpunk 2077 game+ imported a little bit of superhero antics from MCU = and you get KALKI!
The director Nag ashwin has just rehashed four to five popular hollywood franchises, combined it with indian mythos and added some indian masala flavour to it. It reeks of unoriginality, plagiarism and dishonesty. A huge thumbsdown 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
Update: Kalki team copied and used a concept art from an artist named Sungchoi without his permission/awareness. He lamented this on his insta. He has posted that concept art of his on his Artstation platform 10 years ago i.e. in 2015. Shame on team Kalki

@@050138 Every hollywood movie project teams hire huge amount of pre-vis artists, concept designers, storyboard artists etc during pre production to bring their genuine vision onto film. They do a lot of research. Sadly here in India plagiarism is more rampant and there's no accountability on part of the filmmakers. There's no one to question here. The trailer clearly reeks of Unoriginality. Let's see if the movie too has borrowed heavily from west cinema. Let's see on june 27 and we'll talk later
Yeah, In star wars there was Ashwatthama who taught Luke Skywalker how to use a lightsaber and in Dune there was the Kalki Avatar which turned out to be Paul Atreides.

The VFX quality really doesn't justify the money invested and time took, They could have cut a trailer that followed one serious tone but had to squish in the cringe Tollywood comedy in between, a useless bimbo( disha) and hero worshipping moments🙄The scale is definitely big but after seeing the trailer I am very doubtful of the execution. More hyped about Amitabh and Kamal 🔥 Fingers crossed 🤞 I hope it really delivers unlike the trailer🙃
