I'm still thinking about buying my first drone for just amateur videography...right now the Mavic Air seems like the most appropriate choice. I would get a Spark, but DJI won't give users the option to shoot in 24 fps on the Spark. Please, DJI, add 24 and 25 fps to the Spark through firmware! I don't need 4K, but I would like the footage I shoot to look more cinematic. The hardware is obviously capable of it since it can shoot at 30 fps...it's just a matter of updating it in software. Sure, you can slow down the Spark footage to 80%, but I don't want to slow things down too much. The Inspire line is way overkill for me in terms of price and sophistication...but this was awfully fun to watch.

It always depends on the scenario and what you want to achieve. Flying in the inverted well only works in ATTI mode for instance as there is no GPS signal. If you want to get very smooth transitions and movements ATTI mode works better than GPS but the Tripod mode now helps a lot as well as you can configure the maximum speeds on Inspire 2. If you have to fly straight or precisely with wind GPS mode helps a lot. In this video I used pretty much did the same amount of ATTI, GPS and Tripod mode flying.

This crane was used for a big top light as we had to start shooting in the dark before sunrise. It was not a camera crane.
