I have to agree to that. And the joy to be able to experience all 4 seasons in this landscape also. The cold of the winter and the borealis in the sky to the flowering in the spring. The warmt of the summer after a long winter and to see all the colours in the fall.
I tried to ride this road from Eidfjord to Geilo a few years earlier in the middle of June. I came out of the tunnel at the top to be greeted by a snow plow driver who said it was to dangerous to ride in a car, let alone a motorbike. All you could see was white. I needed no persuasion and headed back to the valley.
Norwegian roads are awesome but can also be deadly. In 1988 a bus full of school children and teachers chrashed right at the exit of one of these tunnels. Twelwe children and four adults where killed, including the driver. The bus was found to have faulty brakes and the transmission was also broken. Probably because the driver tried to downshift at speed and broke it. So respect these roads, that can save yours and others life.
June 9th?! No green or leaves at all, yet! I realize it's the mountains, but it still looks so wintry to be June. But then, toward the end, I could also see that the snow had left and the trees had some green coming on. What a precious short season summer is!
+vula V-power I mainly drive evenings and nights. So now when the winter is coming its gettin dark realy quick. So all i have from blizzards over the mountains are in the dark. Ill try to get some footage this winter in daylight :-)
Never mind friend...Day or night is same but if you can this well be beautiful video of course if you turn on big lights on roof :) Try recording like this...If you can't do this we waiting more your beautiful videos...Good luck and big greetings from Serbia for you :)
