Both Taemin and Key are from the same group SHINee actually! All of the members are extremely talented. Key has actually been working on his own concepts for his solo work, he's extremely creative and his albums so far have all been great. I highly suggest checking out their work as a group and work by the other members' solo careers (the others being Onew, Minho, and Jonghyun). In case you do check out SHINee and their music, I will let you know in advance that you will most likely receive a lot of comments about Jonghyun. He unfortunately passed away in 2017, but he was incredibly skilled as a singer and as an artist. Don't let that distract you from his high quality performance though, and celebrate him for the great things he brought to the industry. Thank you for checking out Key!
Shinee is great and all of the members have produced excellent solo stuff too. They are huge MJ fans and they're legendary in their own right. They are known as the Princes of Kpop and the Idols of Idols.
As people have said, Key is from the same group as Taemin, SHINee! They're a legendary second-gen group that are still active together while also doing solo music. Key has a deep love for the retro 80s synth-wave sound, he's very into retro-futurism and has said that one of his musical inspirations is David Bowie. I'd recomend Bad Love or Another Life if you want another retro hit, Gasoline if you want something unique and more fourth-gen sounding, and One of Those Nights if you want an acoustic vibe.
Everything you see and hear with "Killer" has Key's signature stamp on it. It's his title track from his repackaged album, which is a follow up to his previous "Gasoline" MV and album. From his outfits to the backup dancers looks, to the set design and story concept, as well as the song lyrics, and the whole album -- including the album packaging -- was designed by him. He is involved in the entire creative process when it comes to his solo work and everything you see and hear is what he envisioned for this entire album/repackage concept. Every aspect is all part of his design. Key said his style is more like retro '80s/'90s MTV, so that's the treatment they used to come up with his solo concepts and styles. So far, the retro aesthetic is the look and feel he has had for all of his solo MVs and albums. And he has only dove in deeper with the retro concept after he came back from the military. Since gaining artistic control of his solo releases with his "Bad Love" album, he has been building a whole world based on retro sci-fi TV shows/movies and comics, etc. When people say, "there is no one or nothing out there like it," they are right. Key is 100% that artist. A legend on par with Taemin's legendary concepts and styles. No wonder they are both members of SHINee. SHINee are always on another level and they are constantly outdoing themselves with every new project. It amazes me after more than 14 years that SHINee can still continue to reinvent the Kpop industry with every new release, whether it's as a group project or one of the member's solos, and yet they do it every time without fail. SHINee are the originators and trendsetters of everything you see Kpop groups doing today. SHINee where designed to be SM Entertainment's experimental boy group, so everything they do is meant to be the first and they are expected to create the trend. With every new song and dance SHINee produces it's expected to be different than the last, so you will never see the exact same style or sound from them in any of their songs or dances. Nothing you hear from them or the members' solos will ever be exactly like anything you have ever seen or heard before, and yet it will be very much "their style." The members of SHINee raise the bar even higher with every performance. And that's what makes them SHINee. :D When SHINee debuted in 2008, all the members were teenagers -- Key was only 16 -- and they were one of the youngest groups at the time. However, even then, they were shocking everyone with their talent. SHINee was the first group to demonstrate how it was possible to sing live while performing intense choreography and still maintain stable vocals. Before SHINee, the thought within the industry was that it wasn't possible to sing live and also perform high intensity choreography at the same time. At that time, most groups would either sing live and have simple choreography, or they would have crazy cool choreography but lip sync to their recorded vocals. SHINee was the group that changed the industry and proved that if you wanted to compete you needed to up your game. SHINee are known for the fact that there are no fixed roles in their group. The rappers could fill in as main vocalists at any time and the main vocalists are decent rappers. Plus, they are all outstanding dancers, after all they have to be able to keep up with and match Taemin, who is one of the best dancers in the industry. SHINee are also known as one of the best vocal groups in the whole Kpop industry. So what you just heard from Key is why SHINee are one of the top groups that everyone looks up to, they all have superior vocal abilities. SHINee are legends for their live vocals and amazing dancing. The ONLY thing the members of SHINee are not good at is lip syncing, so they have specifically trained since their debut -- by doing intense cardio exercises, such as running long distances or running up stairs while singing at the same time -- to build stamina and endurance, in order to be able to sing live for 3+ hours straight and always sound flawless while performing these intense choreographies. It may be shocking because they sound so perfect live even though they are dancing so intensely, but that is why they are such legends and why they are so highly respected by everyone. I guarantee, that if you were to listen to Key singing a cappella while performing this intense choreograph for "Killer", he would sound just as flawless as in the MV. That is why, even as rookies, senior artists would stop what they were doing to watch SHINee's rehearsals on music programs because SHINee's vocal talent is that impressive and nobody was performing the way SHINee was doing it. On top of that, Key is our fashionista of the group who is SHINee's stylist for a lot of their MVs and stage outfits. He has even been given the official title as SM's director of fashion and he is often consulted on fashion trends when it comes to SM projects. SHINee are known for setting trends and never being afraid to experiment, so Key is recognized for really paying attention to detail when it comes to fashion. He has a reputation for always being unique and wanting to stand out. And although, as a member of SHINee, Key is considered one of the top vocalists in the industry, he is also a lead rapper. So he can literally do it all. Key is also considered SHINee's dance copy machine. He has the ability to see and remember choreography the fastest in the group. He has a photographic memory when it comes to choreography, so he only needs to watch the dance once and he has it memorized. And on top of all that, he is SHINee's fluent English speaker, and he is almost as good as a native speaker. He is one of the best non-native English speakers in Kpop. In middle school he studied for a short time in Australia and New York, and he said his grandma had an English tutor when he was growing up, so he is fluent in western culture. If you enjoyed "Killer" just wait until you hear his other solo songs, such as "Bad Love", "Gasoline," "Villain," etc. Key had his solo debut in 2018 and, including all his albums and repackages, this is Key's 5th solo album. There is a lot more to check out from him.
This is actually a retro-themed trilogy, starting with Bad Love, Gasoline and then Killer. And check out the album packaging of all three! It's definitely the cherry on top.
Regarding “Killer”: He knew we needed that bit of silence at the end just to absorb the PHENOMENAL fabulousness we just experienced. As an 80s kid (‘81), this slays every bit of nostalgia heaven for me. I haven’t found ANYONE that slays this genre like Kibum. Sure, there are those who do a good job, but Kibum OWNS this concept. He doesn’t just emulate the era-he drags it into the present and makes it HIS. I’ve been listening/watching to this nonstop since premiere and the whole album will be on repeat for the foreseeable future. Kibum (stage name Key) debuted in 2008 with the legendary Princes of KPOP, SHINee (of which Taemin is the maknae, or youngest member). Key is a force to be reckoned with…an immense talent who was the only person selected out of 8000 when he auditioned. He’s a true all-rounder and I’m thrilled you’re enjoying his music! This is the first time you’re in my recommended, but you mentioned Taemin, so I’ll definitely be checking out your channel! Hope to see more SHINee (as a group and five soloists…in fact, SHINee is the *ONLY* kpop group to have every member reach #1 on Worldwide iTunes as soloists).
Key is part of SHINee with Taemin (Taemin is the one often compared to Michael Jackson). SHINee has 5 members (Onew, Jonghyun, Key, Minho, Taemin), they are all very talented and they are all soloists. As a group, SHINee are really legendary in kpop, they've been there since 2008, from them you can listen to songs like Don't Call me, Lucifer, Sherlock, Everybody, etc.
U mentioned Taemin, well Key and Taemin belong to a legendart group Shinee. They’ve been around for 15 years. Key is being Key. He always delivered something different from other idols.
Wow... It's so awesome you finding individual members first and when you realise they are from the same group!!! Now pls check out Jonghyun, onew and Minho. You'll get to know all members from SHINee.. Then you can check out their group discography. The most talented group ever❤️
Yasss! Key is amazing! Him and Taemin are members of my favorite kpop group ever: SHINee. I hope you get to watch more of their music :D And yeah, this one was super Weeknd-ish! He's got a lot of variety though!
This song 'killer' is the final chapter of key's retro trilogy which started with 'bad love' ,then 'gasoline' and this one is the end 'killer' you should check those mv out as well
Since you’ve already reacted to Key and Taemin of SHINee and loved their songs, it sounds like you may enjoy the rest of the group too! Minho recently released “Chase”, Onew’s last song was “Dice” (he’s releasing a new solo album 3/6!), and my favorite Jonghyun single is “Crazy”. If you want to check out SHINee as a group, then some of their iconic songs include Replay (first song when they were just 14-18 yo), View, Everybody, Don’t Call Me (last song before Taemin’s military enlistment) and they’ll be having a comeback around April/May once Taemin is done with his service. It’s the perfect time to get into SHINee!
Taemin and key are from the same group, it's called SHINee. Taemin, Key, Onew, Jonghyun and Minho. You should try to check Gasoline MV and Bad Love MV by Key, both of them are great.
Key always has his own style. From the beginning SHINee started trends within Korea and kpop. He is a fashion director in SM since 2015 and has been designing SHINee's costumes for concerts. He also has input in his clothing. His albums are so cohesive. He has all English bsides like Imagine, Helium, and Another Life. He has written songs for SHINee and his solo music. His storylines for his albums are so intricate and complex.
came across this reaction, and i really like your vibe! thanks for checking out this new release from Key - you'd really enjoy his entire discography i'm sure
He is fantastic. His song Villain with Jeno from NCT Dream and his song Bad Love and Gasoline are great too. He is a SHINee member. If you want some solo artists check out B.I.'s song BTBT with Soulja Boy and B.I.'s song Keep me up, he used to be in the group IKON / Check out Kang Daniel, Waves, and Paranoia, Check out Wonho formerly in Monsta X with the songs by him of Open Mind, Eyes On You and Crazy (he is ripped so be prepared) / Changmin from TVXQ's song Devil is epic. Thanks and have fun with your listening journey
I love how you instantly paired him in one category with Taemin as they are both from SHINee. If you like that, please react to more SHINee and/or Key and Taemin. They are amazing and never disappoint. I‘m curious if there will reactions follow this one 😊
Key is from SHINee, same as Taemin :) And he definitely references Michael Jackson. He loves music from the 80's and 90's. This song is the last part of his "retro trilogy", which consists also of Bad Love and Gasoline. It is a title song of the Killer album, which is the repackaged version of the Gasoline album. He added 3 new songs. The whole album is just great. I really recommend it.
Yes, SHINee (the group Key belong to) is known to always be different in the kpop insdustry not just SM for almost 15 years now, and yes SHINee members are very artistic on their own. Key’s Killer is more 80s vibe in general then “The Weeknd” bc the Weeknd was also inspired by the 80s vibe. Key is passionate with Retro, MJ’s Thriller reference you mention is more correct. But ye, if you are into 80s, Key is the retro of Kpop now. He is really good at it because he grew up with it and also have knowledge in it. His group members like Jonghyun, Taemin also have brought knowledge and inspiration from the 80s.
at this point, since you've already reacted to 2 members of SHINee, you should try their group out😉 They are known as the trendsetters of K-pop, "Princes of Kpop". I recommend Sherlock (choreo created by MJ's choreographer), Everybody, View. But with Key, I highly recommend you check out his previous songs like "Bad Love" or even the whole album of Killer!
Key is in the group SHINee along with Taemin! SHINee have been around since 08! Key has an amazing discography I recommend Bad Love, Helium, I Wanna Be, and One of those Nights to name a few!
Key's in the same group as Taemin, actually, they're called SHINee. They have 5 members (unfortunately, they've been promoting as a 4 member unit in latter years, as one of the members had passed away, but, they keep his memory alive, so, I feel like I wish to mention Jonghyun every time, myself). SMTOWN is literally named after MOTOWN, MJ's, Janet's and Jackson 5's agency, the creator of SM had devised it to be a combination of futuristic aesthetics, the perfectionist training system of MOTOWN, as well as its sound. SHINee really embodied that concept with their early tracks, like Hello and Replay and Taemin, as a soloist, has kept the flame going through most of his discography and choreos.
You've mentioned taemin and now him (Key) well both are really great artist from the greatest group SHINee...you can react on other key solo stuff and SHINee as a group and Also onew, jonghyun, Minho are also another awsome artists from the same group SHINee...I 'promise you won't regret and promise you won't forget' 🤭
It belongs to SHINEE, this group is from the second generation of kpop, it really has songs that are the classics of all kpopers hahahaha, it has 4 members, if I'm not mistaken, you reacted to taemin, he is also part of this group along with MINHO and onewe, that they also has their solo works each one has a different sound following their styles,I recommend you react to their solo works they are interesting
a small but important correction, SHINee has 5 members, Onew, Jonghyun, Key, Minho and Taemin, and all 5 members are soloists as you said with very distinct vibe and style lol
Key also did a collab song with Jeno from NCT Dream, it's fire! Key's whole album Gasoline is literally a gem. Definitely check out the Gasoline title track as well!! Villain with Jeno (Dance practice, no mv): ruclips.net/video/y7Y2pT21P9g/видео.html
hahaha fyi both key and taemin are in the same group!!! the group name is SHINee!!!! they actually debuted in 2008. All of the members are very telented!!!!!!
Well ...the weekend is not new......what he is doing is that 80s retro music which he loves ( and me too ). Yeahh...shinee´s key and taemin....now you have to go for onew...he also has solioist music, for example the song Dice
@@thesavguard3 You reacted to 3 of the 5 SHINee members so you should go all the way, Jonghyun and Minho next please! They all have different styles as soloists, each are unique and amazing.
Correct me someone if I am wrong but I swear I saw in a behind the scenes video that the choreographer for Key’s album Gasoline also chore’d Michael Jackson. True? Not? Either way Key is AMAZING. His album Bad Love was a throwback & this one is a continuation of that. He is after all 32 years old! He grew up with older style music. Also…All of SHINee are well, worth a listen, individually & as a group. I have seen them live 3x & they are even more incredible live.

80's Synth all of Key's music is so good
He's from the same group as Taemin 😂 they're both from SHINee. This May SHINee is gonna be 15 years as an active group.
Shinee is legend
Key’s BAD LOVE is also fire 🔥

SHINee's nickname is CDNee because they sound exactly the same live as they do on their cds. Actually they go harder vocally live than in their cds.
I'm from the fandom SHINee World 💎 Thank you for your reaction 👍 Almighty Key is amazing artist!
Wow... It's so awesome you finding individual members first and when you realise they are from the same group!!! Now pls check out Jonghyun, onew and Minho. You'll get to know all members from SHINee.. Then you can check out their group discography. The most talented group ever❤️

Key is awesome
He is amazing
yeah he is from SHinee from SM Entetainement, shinee has really good songs you should react to, especially old ones
Serio, Key se a superado mucho, cada concepto que saca es más impactante que el anterior, este sin duda hará que nos de un paro cardíaco 😅💕
I love how you instantly paired him in one category with Taemin as they are both from SHINee.
If you like that, please react to more SHINee and/or Key and Taemin. They are amazing and never disappoint. I‘m curious if there will reactions follow this one 😊
Yupp me too! I think the same way too. It’s very the weeknd. The whole gasoline album was fire btw! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

I highly recommend you Gasoline by Key, you're gonna vibe with it
UnExpect to hear you say High School Musical (my cousins LOVE that movie) 😳...💜
Villain with Jeno (Dance practice, no mv):

Key, the richest member of SHINee. His net worth is estimated between $30m-48m! That is just crazyyy!

Please react to shinee group it's amazing group and key one of them
Taemin and Key from SHINee
Well ...the weekend is not new......what he is doing is that 80s retro music which he loves ( and me too ). Yeahh...shinee´s key and taemin....now you have to go for onew...he also has solioist music, for example the song Dice
I actually reacted to Dice already, its on the channel!!
@@thesavguard3 You reacted to 3 of the 5 SHINee members so you should go all the way, Jonghyun and Minho next please! They all have different styles as soloists, each are unique and amazing.
Lol key and TAEMIN practically have a mother daughter relationship jokin of course😂
Taemin is kpop MJ, KEY is kpop Weeknd)))
oh yes
he love moves by Michael Jackson
BUT
Taemin (your first solo-SHINee-stuff) is MJ's son for sure
its just a fact😄
Please react to Shinee)))
React to Stray Kids!! You won't regret it hahah they write and produce their own music!!
love how you unknowingly compared key to taemin. shinee members just have that aura
please react to baekhyun bambi
