My personal style went through a complete identity crisis lol. When I was a kid, I loved dressing like a princess, all the skirts, the sparkles, the pinks, the girlier the better. Then, around 12-14, I thought I grew out of it, I didn't really like girly anymore and kinda went through an "idk who I am so I'll just be nobody" with all the baggy clothes, jeans and oversized hoodies, sweaters, large T-shirts, etc. When I was around 15-16, I realized I was definitely queer (back then I thought I was a lesbian), and I was so happy with finding this part of my identity that I wanted to do everything to "look like a lesbian" (gosh I know I know haha). I went full tomboy, started to wear my long hair in a constant bun, wore button ups, cuffed jeans, all the rings, caps, tried to dress as tomboyish as possible, to get all the cute girls' attention haha. Then, at 18-19 I realized two things: a) that I was bisexual, b) I do actually enjoy being feminine, and there is nothing wrong with being a girly girl (dat internalized mysoginy - sorry if I spelled wrong -, jeez...). Now at 22 I am living my best "style-life". My hair is shoulder-length now, but I can still style it however I want; and my outfits are either traditionally masculine with a hint of feminine touch (e.g rolled sleeve button up and baggier jeans but with ballerina shoes) or traditionally feminine but with a hint of masculine touch (e.g long muslin skirt, corset-like blouse but with doc martens and a suit jacket). Now I love experiencing with different clothes and I love that I can mix all the traditionally masc/femme styles in one outfit

I agree, while some of her fashion choices weren't ideal, when she dressed how she wanted it tended to suit both her colouring and her personality. Since dressing how her partner wants, it doesn't seem to suit her as well. We have to admit that just because we prefer certain outfits and styles they don't suit everyone. There is nothing wrong with partners having different styles rather than trying to dress like clones. Trying to get a partner to change their style so drastically is similar to getting a partner and trying to change their personality, people say trying to change a person is wrong, well so is trying to change how they express it thru clothing choice.

So white, black and bright colours suit me. When I was trying to figure this out in my teenage years I wore grey clothes and gold jewellery. This was wrong. [I didn't know any better]. Now I wear silver jewellery and the COLOURS that suit me.
