riddle's relationship with the shroud brothers is like that one harrison ford meme where riddle looks at ortho with "baby boy. baby." and looks to idia with "evil." these three are so funny, thank you for the video!
while i do understand riddle's irritation toward idia, as it can be a pain to deal with people who don't do what they're asked, that said, i can't say i would agree with (or that it sits right with me) the way riddle talks to or about idia in his cr vignette. it's just the way riddle talks to idia just seems really... idk, invalidating?? considering idia genuinely does struggle with debilitating anxiety and going out and interacting with people other than ortho. like, i just feel like there could have been a better way to handle this. but i suppose this outcome is to be expected given their personalities.
I think that's the kind of thing that show Riddle's character development following his OB. Idia's CR vignette is pre-OB (and we have Riddle being a bit more stringent as a result), Book 5 (in which Riddle offers to help him after classes end, meaning he would be willing to carve time for this) is post-OB. Not to justify Riddle's actions, I just found that a bit interesting.
@@ilu-icey oh yeah, for sure! that's a really good point :> i like how riddle kind of softens up toward idia without losing the core of his character in the main story. i don't think what riddle did was right in idia's cr vignette but given his background, his behavior is understandable and i think at the time which the story took place, this would inevitably happen. it's not fun to read but it depicts both riddle and idia well in-character at the time. maybe i should have put in "at the time" in the end -- riddle's development is clear to me! (ofc, his development is pretty clear to me even without reading idia's cr vignette. but vignettes' purpose is to let you understand a character/s more, or maybe get a glimpse into an event's story that's not present in the official event itself. while an event story itself is a "full experience", their vignettes can provide an "even fuller" experience after reading the event. with that in mind i think it's really meaningful if the story is read after first couple books r completed. like, oh he really has come a long way since the v beginning, feel if that makes sense.) sorry for the text wall! it's mostly me rambling :x
@@tsuki-mii Don't worry! I love reading people's rambles. And I suppose you make a good point here, about how vignettes can help paint a bigger picture to any story. Which is why their slow disappearance (the event R cards, the free Halloween SR card, or even the Club Wear cards) is a terrible loss in my opinion.

Thank you for watching! ^^
I’ve always loved Riddles and orthos relationship, very fun to watch develop in phantom bride and continue into Fairy Gala!
Halloween* not phantom bride whoops
