There is not a lot of information on how to shop tax free (as an aussie) and what to expect when you land back into australia e.g. whether we need to declare luxury good purchases etc etc

Your boots are beautiful. I love leather boots, they elevate any outfit. I went to the Rue Cambon store with my mother in the late 1970s. Mass tourism hadn’t begun yet and we were out of season as well. It was late April and it was snowing and so freezing that we were wearing our pyjamas, tracksuits then our clothes and had to walk like thunderbirds. It was such a foul day that the streets were almost empty and we were the only people in the store so we had 3 lovely ladies fussing over us because they were bored. Then finally we left with our white bags full of perfume and makeup thinking we were it and a bit. It’s such a special memory and one that can never happen again as Mum is now gone. Also, given how commercialised it is now and how big the crowds are it will probably never happen to anyone ever again.
Im glad to hear the Story Shorter boots work better for you! I had wondered whether it was just the leather upper that was shorter but it sounds like the heel is a little lower too!

Love the cashmere wrap❤. The French boots look really nice. The only thing is that I don’t like the wooden block heels. If they are the same material as the heels on the oasis sandals in gold, then they might get discolored over times if you get them wet.

I could not get the exact same brown boots (shorter version) in Italy when I was there in April 😭. However, I am happy for you and the brown coloured boots stood out by a mile.
