Great video, good to see 2 of the oldest locos in the country out doing what they do best. Just think, the D3 class & the A2 class where the backbone of the V.R. back in their day & now these are the only survivors in running condition. They truley are something to cherish.
@@JacobGrimaR761 I don't care what they say, steam was the beginning of railways, and you can't deny history, it happened, get over it. Seeing a steam loco running is the greatest tribute to that history.
It was great to see D3 639 out for the first time in years today!

The best highlight of the day was to see a fan favourite steam engine back in action for seven years
All aboard the hype train😄
Nice video mate. It was nice to see the D3 out today. I even rode behind it a few times it was a good day today.
Fantastic video, every time I hear that steam whistle in Geelong I get a shiver down my spine,
Caught the 11:50 departure from Essendon. Good to see that D class back out on the mainline
Back in black!
Another well done video with nice yard action!
Excellent job. Loved seeing the footage at Newport Workshops and seeing how much effort goes into making sure we get to ride these absolute beauties.
was great to see the D3 out and about again. Hopefully sometime soon it will return again on the mainlines
Wait until the climate clowns discover steam trains. Imagine the meltdown they'll have when they see both coal and emissions.
Lets hope they don't find out
