I am English, I was born in England by English parents and I have to say that most of this video I didn't know and hasn't helped me whatsoever living here all my life, I am 65, its a history lesson of which some bits I knew but a lot I didn't know, I doubt very much I would pass an english test in my own country...who dreams these up...good luck to everyone having to take this test!
True some English citizen don't know this history...example in my daughter school I ask the 7 parents there..like we are joking..what is the full name of our country...they don't know...im so embarrass because my wife...shes study about history of our country and yet my fellow country man..dnot know this

Or life in UK The English test is simple you just need to answer the questions the examiner ask you, I’m good English, you need to be able to understand the questions and reply with good English that the examiner understand It helps if you have been in this county for a while or if you came from an English speaking country

I did my test last year. And I got mine passed. To be honest, if you are a big fan of English history, it is so easy to pass. From my experience I went visit a lot historic place in UK. Interestingly, most of the questions actually come out during my test.
Great video , very educational and detail uk history. Love it. However no offence but This video did not need a background music as it took away the essence of historical visualisation and I find it extremely annoying. Especially for persons who are using this video as a study guide.

I've read several sample tests, & come across "correct" answers that are a matter of opinion rather than fact, or just plain wrong in every one. Also it would only be fair to set tests that the average British person would pass. According to various studies, this is not the case here.
My fiance is British and he wouldn't pass the test with history questions. But it is the same for me and my country. I wouldn't pass a test about history of my country. Majority of adults do not use history knowledge in daily life thus we forget it.
A lot of parts that are tested are missing here particularly from Chapter 3. Not all chapter numbers match the ones in the official book either. This video is only sufficient to pass the test if you're lucky and don't happen to get a fair few questions from the topics that aren't covered, which is highly unlikely considering the sheer number of things it doesn't cover

I've got a question regarding 4:22, requirement number 2 of produce acceptable evidence of speaking and listening skills in English, I've been in UK all my life passed my English GCSE with B's and also went to college/work full time now, providing the evidence of my studies of GCSE english/Btec college etc Would i still need to take the b1 test? Thank you in advance for whoever answers.

TestPrep, how do you not know how to class Ethnic diversity???? Under Ethnic diversity and the four subgroups in the last where you said "other significant groups are Asian, Black and mixed descent. What ethnicity or continents have the official name "Black" ??? You missed the spelling or African or Afro-Caribean and could only remember by color? You should have started with color, pink, white, pale, yellow etc and then add black. This is such a poor level of intelligence displayed here, perhaps you were blindsided by the rush to quickly market your materials. You would be doing the right thing by properly categorising that Ethnic group at least give dignity to that category, they're likely the biggest users of your materials. What's fair is fair, no hard feelings dude!
