It's just so relaxed. Seeing into the past makes this cool too. I've seen modern interviews of Tab Hunter and he just seems like he was always himself. Some people really change over time and it's not always bad, but I guess he was just always a nice down to earth guy with good boundaries too. I think he was a young-at-heart kind of person. It would have been cool to meet him, but at least we have RUclips.

No disrespect to Mr. Hunter, but I think he was on coke. As someone who's done uppers myself, I recognized it pretty quick. He's got manic energy and a case of "crazy eyes" at some points. I was pretty certain already, and then 4:49 is another strong indicator.
I might be wrong, but I don't think so. I mean come on, he was a Hollywood actor in the 70's, so it's not really a surprise if he was doing coke.

I’ve thought about your take that he was on some sort of “upper.” If you watch the documentary about him Tab Hunter Confidential his behavior, wide eyes, and way of talking, from the mid-50s to when the documentary was made, is consistent so this interview isn’t any different. I don’t see that he is manic, in fact he’s pretty laid back. Just my two cents!

As someone who lived through the 70s, he does seem a bit too relaxed for Coke. Possibly he had a cocktail before the interview. Nothing wrong with that. I don’t know if he drank or not.
