IDK if it was you that I had mentioned this to before but you don't have to use WHITE-OUT/LIQUID-PEN on the inside of the box... you can use any paint that has that bright white color to it, because it uses Titanium Dioxide to make it so white... and Titanium doesn't bond with steel at the temps you get in the forge... I see a lot of other people just use Spray Paint to coat it... and they coat it really well.. a nice thick layer works..... And I bring it up because I'm pretty sure the White-out is MUCH more expensive than white spray paint.... but I guess that depends on where you live and shop... Might be worth looking into :D
notice he didn't temper the blade either. Straight from the forge to the etch. Cool knives, but lots of scratches still in the blade and I absolutely hate epoxy handles.
@@leviburns89 yeah, i hate to critique on videos, but in a lot of his videos, he didnt clean well enough and account for forge scale that there is almost assuredly inclusions within the blade. they are pretty, but unless we are just not being shown the steps of cleaning and tempering, i wonder how well the blades perform. plus, his blades are just as much material removal as they are forging.
I really like your handle on the first one you really have the shape down pat the only thing I would be paranoid about is you left the mild steel on and twisted it so you will have mild steel on the edge but beside that you do a really nice job
Bro love your videos, I just worry a little when you use the polisher seems to me that you cross your hands and leave your forearm very exposed, be very careful, another thing, may you do a video showing your oven? I am from Colombia and I would like to learn to make one
Hi 👋 there, bro?!! I've been watching all your videos 📹 and bro nice work 👏 👌 next time use a little bit of coffee to etch the Damascus knife 🔪 it helps to see more the pattern
A knife with no actual functionality aside from looking cool to idiots on RUclips who don’t know why you should not form the canister into the edge or why you always need to pin handles

I have to say that you are a surgeon with that angle grinder and those are beautiful blades
That is an amazing knife. Your work is fantastic.
Never knew they made steel powder ground that coarse. It's all sold as fine powder up here. Your work looks amazing as always!
Leaving the can while you twisted it on adds to the cool pattern. I believe I would have pinned the handle.

Great, you are a master! Greetings from Germany!
Muito bom Mestre !!!. Excelente !!!.
That is a great pattern
with the can left on, after the twist, how does the edge not have mild steel on it?

you twisted the can, was the can high carbon steel or mild steel?
I wondered that myself.

Forever Top 🎉
Really beautiful work. Are you back in the old workshop?
Une œuvre d'art!
Yep just twist all that mild steel throughout the knife. Ribbons of mild unhardened steel on the edge.
