I am also owning a harrier black edition XZA plus. So far it is working fine. However there have been a few incidents of infotainment system malfunction. I think Tata motors need to learn something from their jaguar venture and improve otherwise they should just manufacture trucks and leave the SUV & sedan market.

Tata and Mahindra have reliability issues. Earlier I planned to buy Safari but.noe planning to buy BMW X1 used car 2019 model with 45000 driven and price is 20.00 lakhs from BMW pre owned cars with 02 years warranty.
Everytime i think of this is the right time to change my 10 year old ecosport to any brand selling in india , i got puzzled with Build quality, Engine quality, Safety , Fit and Finnish, Driving comfort. Than convince my self, No lets wait for Next year , things going through my mind from last 4 years 😂😂 and My Ecosport not getting Old enough after 10 years , that even a 2022 Car can't beat it either way .

Companies like Tata and Mahindra will not understand this until the consumer emphasis on the quality. And, the "Quality always comes at a cost". They are not yet in par with Honda and Hundai.
I seriously feel we people are buying Tata cars with nationalistic emotions, however Tata must not exploit those feelings and must improve. Tata cars do have fit-finish and quality issues. Seems like they are using substandard parts. I am owning Tiago since 2016 and other than great stability and safety it has given me tough times during these years. Secondly I feel the service personal, Advisors and Mechanics are not properly trained. I am from kashmir and all these +7 years have serviced my Tiago only from authorized service centre of Srinagar. But I have found only one mechanic all these years in that service centre who is properly trained and is discharging his mechanical duties with knowledge and dedication. Tata surely needs improve service and work on quality and fit-finish issues to match thier rivals.
Maximum pblm in my nexon also... AC blower apneaap start ho jaata thaa... Gear box se oil leakage Silver box started makeing noice now jab bhi gaadi ON karte hai Twist bean broken Engin mounting ka ek nut tut gaya hai... Etc etc..... Pblm gaadi ke issue se nahi hai....pblm yeh hai service centre mai thik karane ke baad bhi dikat kuch saal mai dobaara aa jaati hai
Not only harrier, this problem of screen going blank was happening in safari also, first time it happened with me, I got scared as I was at highway speed, took car to service center & they updated the software, after that, the problem got resolved.
I have purchased a tata harrier in 2021 and driven 20k in laddakh and Kashmir and Jammu but I didn't get any single issue till June 2024 and must say I m very happy with this machine Mashallah
Most of the harrier are working fine but recurring issue in some means it's not a software issue. Most probably it's related to shorting in PCB or not proper ground
My 2021 tata harrier dual tone xz plus has countless issues. It is a nightmare for me. Though they have resolved most of the issues, but dynamo/ alternator sound, infotainment sound when starting the car, rusting from different part of the body persists. I gave up on service centre and tata motors. I will not recommend and will never ever buy tata cars in future.

Maruti needs to bring 5 star rated cars, people wont buy Tata. The problem with Tata is that they have never paid enough attention to the non commercial cars. We scold Maruti and Hyundai for poor cars but we ignore their effort of making a reliable product as per their promise. They dont promise safe cars but they promise peace of mind which they absolutely deliver. I am saying this after i have run all three brands. I had Hyundai Eon from 2014 to 2017 and then Maruti Baleno 2017 to 2022 and now running Nexon Diesel AMT. And Nexon AMT drive quality sucks. After more than a year i still don't feel confident of driving this car at first gear at low speed because of AMT and crawl function.

It also depends on your driving pattern. We don't think while driving, but see, there are some decent drivers, who are satisfied for the long term with their very rare super dooper flop models also.
Same happened with my nexon , invoice date se 1 week before ka data on tata data base, they say they are counting from the day if booking,such a horrible people
The good thing is that Tata service center guys are atleast hearing their customers and doing their best to resolve the issues whatsoever. On the other hand, what the brands like Mahindra and Hyundai are doing is just horrible! I am also an owner of Tata Nexon 2020 model and it's just awesome. In my case, service technicians sometime tried to be oversmart but the management took it promptly. I know technicians at all these jobs are very poorly paid and so I didn't make it a issue.
Sir i suggest you to change your service centre and go in a bigger one. They will understand your problem carefully and will repair it as soon as possible

I purchased a Tata Harrier Adventure + Dark edition, and within 15 days, the clutch plate burned out after only 1200 kilometers. When I towed my vehicle to the service center, they blamed it on driver error, claiming that it was my fault. I was only in traffic for 2-3 minutes and used the half clutch, as is common in such situations. The service center informed me that I would need to pay a significant amount for a clutch kit replacement. I am extremely disappointed with my Tata Harrier purchase. We choose Tata Motors because it is an Indian company and support the "Vocal for Local" initiative, but spending 26 lakh rupees and encountering such issues is unacceptable.
TATA Motor please improve your after sale services. I was purchased suzuki alto 800 as my first car, customer service is superb 👌 no complaints at all but now I just bought nexon and from the very first service I am not happy at all. (Ananya Tata motor patna) they made a huge scarch on the front left side of the car and blamed us that it was there before the service. Not only us most of the TATA car owners have service problem.

I bought XZ+ top end safari in may 21 but sorry to say within 5 month sunroof system broke down, and iron clips with rod everything comes out. Before that only 4, 5 times sunroof open only, we complain about this with three dealer in UP and Uttarakhand but no one ready to listen just one answer let engineer come from pune he will look after that and solve our problem. After 3 months tata change whole set of sunroof. But again too much noise when we open or shut the glass. 24 lakhs car and this type of service not acceptable. So sold out my Safari. So sad experience.

Another Perspective- every 2-3 out of 100 car have some defect which are for which service centre are there . Every car company has pros and cons no one is as good or bad sas it seems . It is about experience . One should know the pros and cons and choose accordingly

Why to invest so much money, if you can't afford. Luxury comes with price. i.e. maintenance, Insurance , Patrol and depreciation. Invest wisely. BTW.. overall the TATA cars are good.

I had the worst service experience with my Tata Harrier. The center just patched rust, which caused the rust to come back. After warranty the rust came back and they replaced panel, had to pay 25% of the cost. Reverse camera randomly flickered. I reported 10 times, they said they replaced the cam in 2023, but problem didnot get solved. the GM said they didnot replace. It took tata 3 years to replace my cam, until which they always used to update software. Luckily i have extended warranty. These idiots just keep delaying until your car goes out of warranty!

Car is rusting a lot. Service center says the quality of water might be the issue. In that case my other car (wagonR) should also rust, which it did not. They just never admit manufacturing defects.

The file where I maintain job sheets has become so thick in these 3 years. So many visits to center, couple of visits where I had to keep my car for a month there. I asked them politely to pay my EMI and insurance cost for that month 😂
Tata doesnt have the skills required to precisely debug such kind of issues. They simply apply software patch (even if it recurs) and finally replace some random part, until your car goes out of (extended) warranty, and you have pay from your pocket.

Tata learns technology at the cost of unsuspecting customers. They did this when they first entered into car business more than decade ago. Suzuki , Hyundai and Kia bring in bullet proof vehicles into market and problems if any with these vehicles are exception.

As these cars are most picked SUV, they will never work on quality. Also these cars got no decent resale value just because of unreliable parts and quality. No offence but those who have budget beyond 15 lakhs should go for brands other than tata or mahindra..

I am also an owner of Tata Nexon 2020 model and it's just awesome. In my case, service technicians sometime tried to be oversmart but the management took it promptly. I know technicians at all these jobs are very poorly paid and so I didn't make it a issue.
Why issues are occurring in the first place
Shorting problem hai..pat ki awaz ana short circuit ki problem lag rhi h. not software issue...

Only one common thing I could find in such cases is that never ever go for a car model just after launch or facelift.
Sir i suggest you to change your service centre and go in a bigger one.
They will understand your problem carefully and will repair it as soon as possible

I purchased a Tata Harrier Adventure + Dark edition, and within 15 days, the clutch plate burned out after only 1200 kilometers. When I towed my vehicle to the service center, they blamed it on driver error, claiming that it was my fault. I was only in traffic for 2-3 minutes and used the half clutch, as is common in such situations.
The service center informed me that I would need to pay a significant amount for a clutch kit replacement. I am extremely disappointed with my Tata Harrier purchase. We choose Tata Motors because it is an Indian company and support the "Vocal for Local" initiative, but spending 26 lakh rupees and encountering such issues is unacceptable.
TATA Motor please improve your after sale services. I was purchased suzuki alto 800 as my first car, customer service is superb 👌 no complaints at all but now I just bought nexon and from the very first service I am not happy at all. (Ananya Tata motor patna) they made a huge scarch on the front left side of the car and blamed us that it was there before the service. Not only us most of the TATA car owners have service problem.

Mera new tata safari top model avi 2 months bhi nehi hue or do bar road par car bandh ho gya. 9 hours wait karne ki baad towing van aye. Kaise is car par hum biswas kare. Mera to pura confidence tut gaya.

I bought XZ+ top end safari in may 21 but sorry to say within 5 month sunroof system broke down, and iron clips with rod everything comes out. Before that only 4, 5 times sunroof open only, we complain about this with three dealer in UP and Uttarakhand but no one ready to listen just one answer let engineer come from pune he will look after that and solve our problem. After 3 months tata change whole set of sunroof. But again too much noise when we open or shut the glass. 24 lakhs car and this type of service not acceptable. So sold out my Safari. So sad experience.

Another Perspective- every 2-3 out of 100 car have some defect which are for which service centre are there . Every car company has pros and cons no one is as good or bad sas it seems . It is about experience . One should know the pros and cons and choose accordingly

@Tata should really take this video and work on it. I was making a decision to buy a Tata Car trusting the build quality but after looking at this video and others on RUclips I am having second thoughts. After sale service reviews have been so bad for Tata and now these kinda issues. Its pathetic.

Please check your wires for any Rat infestation, as it has been observed in many Tata cars that Rats Chee up the earthing wire due to which the electricals get messed up.
Why to invest so much money, if you can't afford. Luxury comes with price. i.e. maintenance, Insurance , Patrol and depreciation. Invest wisely.

I had the worst service experience with my Tata Harrier. The center just patched rust, which caused the rust to come back. After warranty the rust came back and they replaced panel, had to pay 25% of the cost.
Reverse camera randomly flickered. I reported 10 times, they said they replaced the cam in 2023, but problem didnot get solved. the GM said they didnot replace. It took tata 3 years to replace my cam, until which they always used to update software. Luckily i have extended warranty. These idiots just keep delaying until your car goes out of warranty!

The file where I maintain job sheets has become so thick in these 3 years. So many visits to center, couple of visits where I had to keep my car for a month there. I asked them politely to pay my EMI and insurance cost for that month 😂
Tata doesnt have the skills required to precisely debug such kind of issues. They simply apply software patch (even if it recurs) and finally replace some random part, until your car goes out of (extended) warranty, and you have pay from your pocket.

Tata learns technology at the cost of unsuspecting customers. They did this when they first entered into car business more than decade ago. Suzuki , Hyundai and Kia bring in bullet proof vehicles into market and problems if any with these vehicles are exception.

Tata and Mahindra will never understand about quality, as people are blindly buying these SUV just for bold looks and show-off purpose, people may get angry reading this, but it’s true. As these cars are most picked SUV, they will never work on quality.
Also these cars got no decent resale value just because of unreliable parts and quality. If sales are going to decrease and people like this channel demands quality. They definitely will work on that. But this really hard to happen.
