    If you come Haiphong city is a big city near Hanoi everything is cheaper than Nha Trang city . $1 for a Pho, $0.5 for a Banh Mi ....Haiphong city near Halong bay, Catba islands

    If you're ever in Hai Phong, since that is still a local place and not super touristy. You'll find the cheapest eats in all of Vietnam and it's quality food. It's a national secret that Hai Phong is a food haven too.

    If this was in USA
    Pho rare steak = 14
    Fresh coconut = 5
    Com Tam = 16
    Banh mi chicken = 7
    Ice cream = 5
    ============Total $47

    • @20luzer52
      @20luzer52 Год назад +4

      @dn1969 - I'll vouch for your cost, spot on. Add in tip at 15% and we're talking $50. The only qualifier is that the pho and the com tam in the US are larger but the banh mi here in the US would get a C if compared to the banh mi in VN.

      I totally agree. The food taste better to me when it doesn't break the bank! The costs in USA are out of control.

      Thanks for watching. I think the best things is to just stay out of restaurants that cater to western people. Going out and trying local food is economical and allows you to figure out what you like. It doesn't cost much to experiment with the local food choices!

    French bread or Baguet is a bit of a luxury in the Philippines. So eating it everyday to save money in Vietnam is delightful. KFC in Vietnam is also very good deals, with Salad and soup on the value meal. Then cheap coffee is everywhere. Plus those Doner Kebabs, love those. Lastly, those cheese like little triangles, that come in a round box.

    After watching your videos, I decided to spend a few weeks in Nha Trang in December. I like street food, but I'm trying to find a local butcher that has fresh uncut steaks. I like my steaks a little thicker, and prefer to make them myself at home. Found a good butcer in Ha Noi, but hot in Nha Trang. Have you seen any?

    Cannot stand people who misspell bánh mì. There are literally 4 letters in the word “banh” I don’t understand how it can be so difficult lol
