Lovely vlog 🥰. Just a side note, when I make up gift hampers with gorgeous scented gifts, I’ve learned never to add chocolate. Unfortunately the strong scent taints the chocolate and makes it inedible 😢. To add a bit of colour and texture, I tend to pop in some sprigs of greenery and maybe a couple of mini Christmas bell ornaments. Sometimes I pop in a mini candy cane. Again the scent will taint it, but nobody actually eats candy canes anyway. Do they??? 😂. That might just be me 😄. It’s nice to tie some narrow velvet ribbon around the neck of cream or scent bottles too. Your gift wrap looks fab. Have a lovely Christmas.

Hi aimed went bath Christmas Market Saturday and found Whitehall garden centre Bristol, was beautiful, never seen so much Christmas decs in 1 place ❤

Are you etching (fileing ) your natural nails so the gel sticks better. A bit like painting woodwork , you have to sand the surface for ythe pait to adhere to the wood. Or do you cap off the end of the gel lolish, paint the tip \ edge of thenail

Your nails are coming off, I’d guess, because whatever you’re using for them isn’t a good polish. You said you’re doing your own gels, so I assume you mean actual gel nails? As in you’re curing them with an LED lamp and putting aftercoat on and curing that too? Or you just mean gel style polish? If you mean that - it’s not very good. Proper gel nails stay on really well as the curing in the LED light effectively cooks the product onto your normal nail beds
Yes it’s UV lamp gel - I use the Sensationail stuff but it just doesn’t stay!
I use Mylee and it lasts me ages! But the nail prep has to be serious otherwise it wont last which is where people go wrong xx
@@AimeeMichelletry with OPI, that’s what I use and it’s really good. But I do use marigolds to be fair for all cleaning or washing up so try using those too and they’ll protect the nails from chemicals. I’d hazard a guess it’s the chemicals from washing up liquid and cleaning that’s reacting with the gel maybe and making it peel.
@Southwesternlassie82 I can’t use normal nail polish on my hands as they will always chip, but if OPI do a gel I might give that a go. It won’t be the washing up as it can still happen when I just wash my hands too many times or wipe down the sides with a wet cloth. I have super oily nails so I don’t think I pro them good enough + not using a good base coat x
I think it’s my nail prep, I have bought dehydrator now and put a nice lot of that on, then with the primer I find to leave it a good 15 min to dry and get tacky and that does help - but still don’t work great every time! X
