HI there can i ask if you have ever had any problems with your Class 800's starting up moving and then stopping multiple times then creating a short circuit. i am in the throws of returning my 800back to hornby for the second time now with the same motor fault. yet all my other hornby and bachmann locos all work perfectly fine.
@@michaelfedora5630 All the models were purchased from Kernow. Total bill was 5p short of £900 and all great prices. Azuma was less than £300, an absolute bargain.
This particular model belongs to a friend. I do have a job that helps me afford my models. I have been collecting models for around 7 years. My current job I’ve been doing for Around a year and a half
I have asked so many people who are buying hornby products in Europe where they are getting them and absolutely no response back from them. Please send me some info on them so I can order them as well
Hi Jack. You have asked me this before and as I stated then yes I will be attending. I will also be at the great electric train show in Milton Keynes on the Saturday 👍
@@fyfieldjunction sorry mate I forgot I asked 😂😂 I will be there on the Saturday hope to see you there and hopefully we come away with some good model stuff
@@jackstephens7562 no problem mate. Hope we bump into each other as well (not literally of cause 😂) I’m sure my wallet will be feeling the pain after the show lol.
@@fyfieldjunction two things where do you get all your money to get all your models and on the Saturday of warley what time are you getting there because I get there at 08:20
@@jackstephens7562 I have my own job in which I work nights so pay is pretty good. Not sure what time I’ll be getting there but I usually arrive around the time the show starts
I absolutely love this model, but the glaring mistake on the destination board, depicting Carlisle and Watford Junction is a massive fail, considering this is an East Coast mainline unit. Until Hornby come up with a way to modify that, I'll give it a pass. Gutted.
Thing I don't understand, if you watch Hornby a model world, they go on about quality control, yet when you watch your vid it show poor quality on there behalf
Double-checked your video against one recently posted by ‘Anthony Dodge The Model Railroad Outsider’. Both your examples feature destination indicators showing Carlisle and Watford Junction. Thought this was supposed to be an East Coast Azuma, not a West Coast Pendolino!
My friend who owns the model noticed this as well. Don’t know how Hornby cocked that up although tbf they cocked up a lot of things on this model particularly where the light bleed is concerned
Have to explain again, class 800s are not like HSTs the driving cars are not power cars so you don't have a power and dummy cars. The power cars are the intermittent cars with the engines, the traction motors for Diesel and AC overhead are on these cars.
I am fully aware of this. When I say power car and dummy car in terms of the model it’s referring to the end with the motor or the end without the motor.
Lovely Azuma

Hi mate. Never had a problem. Other than the derailing issues with the first release all my 800s have been a pleasure.
Just received yesterday very same model from Kernow at an amazing price. Noted your comments on the lighting. What do change CV29 to in the dummy car?
Hi, from what I’ve heard CV29 needs to be programmed from 6 to 7 on the dummy car and that should fix it
@@fyfieldjunction Thank you.
Where did you get the Hornby trains from send me information I'd like to get them as well

Cool! How do you afford these?

It is a very strange error. Not really sure how Hornby thought it would be acceptable.

Really don’t know what it is with Hornby these days. There just digging themselves a deeper hole
