Thank you for this review! Would you recommend these for someone who is a concreter and is in a machine during the day that is loud?

You'd need something with very good noise isolation. These do a fairly good job as long as you have the right ear tip size on, but if you boost volume to compensate for the noises coming in, you might be boosting the volume by too much which can affect your hearing the in long run. It's worthwhile considering something with ANC rather than just passive isolation. Have a look at the Yamaha TW-E7B. It's ANC works well, has great isolation and it sounds terrific too.
