That's my take also on this game. PvE is really fun, but PvP, not so much. With how open this game is, it's too unpredictable in comparison to Tarkov (in terms of where the players might be), but it can get really stale if one team is holding one or two LZs, which in early wipe is so easy cause everyone is doing the same quests. Some PvP events like holding the location while other factions fight for it (they could "teamup" for better chances), or attacking rebel convoys, planting and defusing a bomb. Winning in this event would also impact areas controlled by factions on the map, cause right now factions are just "Pick your starting location". There are so many ideas to make PvP really unique and one of a kind. (But I think they would need to make player count bigger, maybe 20v20v20, at least for the start). That could make PvE players eager to try and play more PvP since they wouldn't be sniped from a bush while doing simple quests like "Kill 20 enemies in X".
Contestable territories for players to fight over (and quest lines for it ONLY if you are in PvP servers, like dailies/weeklies). Also, the little birds should do little gun runs on people camping in the zone. If there's any players, strafe the area (kill players) 1-3 times before landing.
The strafe runs would be dope as hell, but it would also conflict with people that maybe are just hiding there trying to extract themselves. You could partially resolve this by making separate exfil and infil LZs, but then you'd still have the problem of distinguishing between people camping exfils and people waiting for their raid. But at least you'd fix half the problem (i.e. infils), and you could state that even IRL it's sometimes your job to make the exfil area secure before you call in for extract. Maybe have the little birds simply throw a smoke curtain over the LZ to cover for extracts?
@@Mr.Spaghettti Absolutely, the fact you need to wait for 5+ min on a chopper in the understanding you call one directly, involves whole squads waiting while other choppers with enemies land in the meantime. It's very hard to distinguish LZ campers from people who are just waiting for a chopper, having to defend themselves. It creates just too much unnecassary deaths, those arriving, fully geared up, have no idea there are 4 enemies waiting in the bushes.
@@Yoda300YearsAgo Had to kill a squad lastnight while waiting for an exfil on the other side of the map. I felt bad but they were like 5 feet away. Had to keep engaging so they didnt kill us :( felt dirty so we cleared them and relocated to another extract without looting
@@goonsquadron558 not.if it's 10eters.and I am using 855A1 AP which should just go straight through them. Also AI can shoot through bushes, even on far distance and make standard damage. But you can't do the same back. This also works for AI with FMJ or HP rounds. But maybe it solves itself when I get banshee maxed for good scopes. Want to get the 18,5/25 times zoom back. Or maybe not. If you use a Razor on a modified Mosin, starting at 3x zoom you won't be able to see much as the scope blackens out. If you hold your breath you have clear vision again. I think it's only for the 1-6 scopes, as vudu has the same issue at the mosin. Also annoying is: when you die you can get your stuff right. But if unreal crashes, you can't. You will spawn where you crashed, but if you reach your body, it won't be lootable anymore. It's still there visible and what not, but no option to loot pops up.
This games different, imagine spawning right in front of 5 people over and over, and they know where your gonna spawn. And they can hear you spawning. That's this game. The loop is kinda trash. If you die, you can't go back. You can't. Unless you walk. You hear a helicopter? Check map see if it's your team, if not, mow them down while they get off the heli. It ain't like arma where you can choose your landing spot, be tactical ect. If there's enemies, and you go there on heli, you. Are. Fucked. And that's bad game design.
No more server crashes, you can tell when the rubberbanding begins it's the end of server time. I wonder what the reason for this is since I've never experienced this as much in other games.

your heli should fly around the lz once or twice if it looks safe you can confirm to land, if not then you can choose to rtb or have it land at a random spot nearby
@Fr4Ged I noticed that. I really like watching his tarkov gameplay, but his greyzone gameplay is a little off. He seems to want to solo everything himself, and not really communicate much. Like the yt video where a bunch of them raided the enemy base, there was a point the enemy were infilling back in a heli into their base and a couple dudes were getting ready to surround it and kill them but tony just had to be the one to start laying into them first from far away. Would of been more entertaining for him to just watch it unfold from the pov he had.

Maybe a good fix would be the ability to take back off once you get to an Lz. Ie wave off, if you notice there’s people camping it. Requiring you be vigilant and paying attention but doesn’t like “kick” you off the heli. Makes you confirm off or wave to nearest by lz. Then you’d have to camp many lzs which would be hard. Maybe after 2 wave offs it RTBs. For safety and you have to start from the base again re thinking your strategy…

It’s harder for software to analyze targets autonomously versus obey a cancel landing command. That way some people not paying attention WILL pay the price. LVNDMARK, as a hardcore Arma enjoyer let me give you some tips for more open terrain. In your 2nd engagement you decided to kill the one guy and reposition. That was good, the only issue is that you then basically went and sat in the same place but where you were more visible to your enemies direction. Your whole aim when dealing with 360 degree awareness like that is to limit the FoV of your enemy. So next time, sit against the wall so you only have to worry about your front and left quadrant. That's what he did and that's how we got you. Otherwise, reposition so you can look over where you shot from, don't sit so close when someone knows you're in that direction. You want to ensure that they expose themself when they close in on your position, flush them out, this isn't EFT Aka CoD 2.0
Faction wars definitely happen. We had choppers full of squads dropping in on us so i called random faction members over. It turned into a 2 hour fight of each faction constantly coming back on choppers for war lol fun as hell
Had a game where there was a group camping one of the Ban Pa LZ so we sent over like a 10 man hit squad, hiked through the jungle and had like an hour long fight after we snuck up on them
It needs something like that since it’s the exact layout as the elder scrolls online cyrodiil battlegrounds map. I just the the skill issue players ruin the experience.
I just don't understand the point of pvp here, you don't get any rewards. No kill tracking, no lootable player specific items outside of gear(of which you probably own at this point) not even exp when you kill someone.
Like most other open world looter shooters (dayz for example) majority of the fighting is purely due to pride and the experience with your team. Out gunning, out manoeuvring and out playing your enemy is its own reward. It’s definitely a more mature shooter model rather than we have with most titles today that focus on rng loot addiction.
Got into my first PVP yesterday fought a 5 man at the bunker. Killed 4 and died to the last guy sitting in a bush. Think the movement is a bit awkward which leads to dangerous situations, just slow down and approach with more caution you'll destroy in PVP
Nothing will stop people from gearing up and searching for PvP, but this isn't that type of game. It's designed to simulate the PMC experience, and yea, sometimes there's a total breakdown of communications and PMC on PMC firefights happen. Or sometimes you're tasked with completing the objective at all costs even if you have to eliminate all unknown variables. Actively engaging in PvP to the point where you and the boys are assaulting a different company's home base is the exact opposite direction that they want this to go in. The primary objective is to figure out what them space aliens be doing or did.

My suggestion for LZ campers is to: 1) Give a 5sec safe zone around LZs when a helicopter is landing 2) make helicopters randomly come and go to all LZs on a timer so no one would ever know if someone was actually on it or not and you wouldn't have to wait 5+ mins for a helio to pick you up or not be able to even call for a helio to then wait 5+mins.
@DutchViper_NL it would really suck to finish a successful loot run just to get mowed down by ai in a Blackhawk as you are heading to the lz to get picked up. From what ive seen most LZ kills are not people camping to loot other players but more so people just battling on the LZ while waiting to get picked up
Be careful bros, cheaters have arrived in gzw. We got one tapped times in a row yesterday. Full 4 man squad deleted in less than 5 seconds with one bullet each, perfectly centered in the head. (No lucky shot, no skill, it was 12 hits in total only for our team alone, that all had the exact same centered hit). Happened not only to us, because apparently the guy started speedhacking or teleporting around the map, hunting people. The whole basecamp was raging because of this one player and friends from other factions that were on the same server at the time also reported, that half of their camp got deleted, all with perfectly centered headshots out of nowhere.
Its tough because the TAA implentation is so bad and it makes the game so blurry which in turn makes spotting people especially in jungles practically impossible.
@@_Yuurt tried all settings, it has nothing to do with settings or hardware it's their forced aggressive TAA rendering teqnique, changing settings doesn't change or fix the core issue.
They should either add LZs that are farther away from POIs and let us walk a short distance in to make it harder to just camp LZs or add a function that lets us select anywhere in an open area for a drop
Maybe a few different Lz’s per faction but close enough to each other to keep it interesting. Just not the exact same spot for everyone coming/going.. it’s hot every single time. You run into people trying to leave or come in at the moment it’s too hard to get off and go start your quest because it’s constant chopper traffic both ways. Like nonstop. I’m sure ppl would just memorize it anyway though if they had different lz’s per faction so best would be like you said, being able pick your spot in a small area. That would be ideal. They can tell your coming in but don’t know where exactly unless they spot the bird landing. Would be cool.
It's early access, and it got lucky with the timing of the BSG drama. It'll die down in a couple weeks but it'll still be around especially once they add new stuff and cleanup a lot.

You can shoot out of the chopper, my friend was seen from the heli by a guy and he started shooting and my friend got killed while the heli did not get to land yet, so you can kill from it
If pvp is the issue, I would remind any reading this that a majority of people can't really run the game with any kind of consistency. I think optimizing the game should be priority number one.
the pvp is really fun. the only thing thats not fun is the LZ camping. im sure devs will figure it out. theres no point in doing some quests when you don't even have a chance to get off the helicopter and running more than 2ft.
PvE is great for my game style, clean up the bugs and Id be totally satisfied if it was released as-is. For PvPvE, could see them adding quests that help a player level faster, including PvP kills and points of interest that draw more players in for high reward (I see tab in map screen, so could be a thing already in planning). Like other looter shooters, with the with air drops or vaults/safes opening, pings all players of something going down, respond if you want a chance at the prize. More dynamic drop areas would have to be solved else any POI event would be a cluster f**k.

I can't either but yesterday was terrible for me got the headless/ lost secure container bug 3 times and lost like $150 in gear since im lvl 30 and running the best of best. Now until the hotfix im running shitty ak kits with no container and I dont bring my keys atm
@@customcutters i think desync is still a major issue making TTK feel wildly varying but I also know this isn't your average health system. The ways you go down are either extreme blood loss or extreme organ damage, otherwise you just keep eating rounds lol
Game is so much better 2 months later if your game wasnt running well in the beginning; they fixed so much. I cant wait for them to add more stuff including tasks, weapons, gear etc. Its going to be a great game in the future (not saying it isnt amazing now because it absolutely is!)
My pvp experience so far has just been getting killed by LZ campers hiding in bushes which really does suck ass. Been trying for 2 days to get Gunny level 2 but because of campers and very inconsistent AI I have just given up trying now.
I switched to PvE until major update comes, cause some of the quests, especially in YBL-1 are hard on their own (Office 2 or Generator keys for example), and not having to worry about LZ camping or some random guy popping out of the door are huge relief for me. Also it's more consistent lore wise not to fight other PMCs without real god reason other than "if moves, kill"
On OCE servers I don’t have a problem with PvP everywhere you go not a single place you can stand still or your dead. I get the loot is mid for pvp rn but just going to POI and learning to be the best at pvp will be great for later on
hah they need to fix that heli griefing bs. invisible snipers protecting the landing zones woulkd be one way to do it. put a sphere around the landing zone, if an enemy player enters the zone and is inside the when a heli comes to land they start getting sniped like on tarkov out of bounds areas. so only team members can be inside a heli zone of a called in heli, anyone else get's sniped

This game is all about movement. And I don’t mean like call of duty. I mean as in move in the absolute slightest you can. You can be in a bush all you want turn 90 an it’s just gonna give your position away to someone looking in your general direction

At Gunny 3 you get Razor scope, MK18, 855A1 and 60 rounders.
Leaves also capture bullets at times
The bushes and leaves blocking shots has cost me so many kits its rough hopefully fixed soon

1) Give a 5sec safe zone around LZs when a helicopter is landing
2) make helicopters randomly come and go to all LZs on a timer so no one would ever know if someone was actually on it or not and you wouldn't have to wait 5+ mins for a helio to pick you up or not be able to even call for a helio to then wait 5+mins.
Or get instead of the little bird a black hawk with ai gunners that shoot on the campers that will learn them not to camp
@DutchViper_NL it would really suck to finish a successful loot run just to get mowed down by ai in a Blackhawk as you are heading to the lz to get picked up.
From what ive seen most LZ kills are not people camping to loot other players but more so people just battling on the LZ while waiting to get picked up
high value loot areas is a simple incentive for pvp right now
They shall add quick deploy via rope or even a drop with parashute

We got one tapped times in a row yesterday. Full 4 man squad deleted in less than 5 seconds with one bullet each, perfectly centered in the head. (No lucky shot, no skill, it was 12 hits in total only for our team alone, that all had the exact same centered hit).
Happened not only to us, because apparently the guy started speedhacking or teleporting around the map, hunting people. The whole basecamp was raging because of this one player and friends from other factions that were on the same server at the time also reported, that half of their camp got deleted, all with perfectly centered headshots out of nowhere.
Its tough because the TAA implentation is so bad and it makes the game so blurry which in turn makes spotting people especially in jungles practically impossible.
Don’t have the game in front of me now but if you’re using FSR, that might be fixable. Try XeSS or TSR, or DLSS if you’ve got a brand new card
@@_Yuurt tried all settings, it has nothing to do with settings or hardware it's their forced aggressive TAA rendering teqnique, changing settings doesn't change or fix the core issue.

They should either add LZs that are farther away from POIs and let us walk a short distance in to make it harder to just camp LZs or add a function that lets us select anywhere in an open area for a drop
Maybe a few different Lz’s per faction but close enough to each other to keep it interesting. Just not the exact same spot for everyone coming/going.. it’s hot every single time. You run into people trying to leave or come in at the moment it’s too hard to get off and go start your quest because it’s constant chopper traffic both ways. Like nonstop. I’m sure ppl would just memorize it anyway though if they had different lz’s per faction so best would be like you said, being able pick your spot in a small area. That would be ideal. They can tell your coming in but don’t know where exactly unless they spot the bird landing. Would be cool.
This game looks like it's in it's hype phase and then is gonna die off in a couple months
It's early access, and it got lucky with the timing of the BSG drama. It'll die down in a couple weeks but it'll still be around especially once they add new stuff and cleanup a lot.
I will keep playing it. It is a lot of fun imo. Way more rewarding then tarkov.

You can shoot out of the chopper, my friend was seen from the heli by a guy and he started shooting and my friend got killed while the heli did not get to land yet, so you can kill from it

If pvp is the issue, I would remind any reading this that a majority of people can't really run the game with any kind of consistency. I think optimizing the game should be priority number one.
They need to give you like 5 - 10 sec immunity after landing to try and fight this Heli Camping

the pvp is really fun. the only thing thats not fun is the LZ camping. im sure devs will figure it out. theres no point in doing some quests when you don't even have a chance to get off the helicopter and running more than 2ft.
PvE is great for my game style, clean up the bugs and Id be totally satisfied if it was released as-is. For PvPvE, could see them adding quests that help a player level faster, including PvP kills and points of interest that draw more players in for high reward (I see tab in map screen, so could be a thing already in planning). Like other looter shooters, with the with air drops or vaults/safes opening, pings all players of something going down, respond if you want a chance at the prize. More dynamic drop areas would have to be solved else any POI event would be a cluster f**k.
I do agree they need to add pvp quests. Add quests where you need to kill like 10 people in some town or something.
they said they will not add pvp quests but instead events might happen(say like capture this town and hold it to get high tier ammo or armour)

Game is so much better 2 months later if your game wasnt running well in the beginning; they fixed so much. I cant wait for them to add more stuff including tasks, weapons, gear etc. Its going to be a great game in the future (not saying it isnt amazing now because it absolutely is!)
My pvp experience so far has just been getting killed by LZ campers hiding in bushes which really does suck ass. Been trying for 2 days to get Gunny level 2 but because of campers and very inconsistent AI I have just given up trying now.
I switched to PvE until major update comes, cause some of the quests, especially in YBL-1 are hard on their own (Office 2 or Generator keys for example), and not having to worry about LZ camping or some random guy popping out of the door are huge relief for me. Also it's more consistent lore wise not to fight other PMCs without real god reason other than "if moves, kill"

On OCE servers I don’t have a problem with PvP everywhere you go not a single place you can stand still or your dead. I get the loot is mid for pvp rn but just going to POI and learning to be the best at pvp will be great for later on
hah they need to fix that heli griefing bs. invisible snipers protecting the landing zones woulkd be one way to do it. put a sphere around the landing zone, if an enemy player enters the zone and is inside the when a heli comes to land they start getting sniped like on tarkov out of bounds areas. so only team members can be inside a heli zone of a called in heli, anyone else get's sniped
