That moment of gratitude and relief after you fell is something most people miss, but you, my friend, have the wisdom of the whale and the humility of the sprat.
For those interested in Truth: I'm sure you've wondered if Heaven/Hell are real. This world seems so curropt sometimes, it's as if justice is a lie, and the bad are more often rewarded. I know it can be hard to accept that God is real, especially when it seems like all evidence points in the opposite direction. You'll never find physical evidence, no scientist is going to prove God, our universe isn't set up that way. However, there actually is a way to find him for yourself. God has given me four simple steps, via divine revelation, he's told me anyone who does them genuinely is gureenteed a revelation of their own. As it turns out these steps are scattered throughout the Bible, but for so many it's only a paper weight, so they never find them, and never get their personal revelation. These steps are the mustard seed of Faith God wants to see from us. The bare minimum amount of effort he's willing to accept before he reveals himself. God steamlined these steps for me to spread, because we're at the end. Nigh was decades ago. These steps are the absolute lowest he's willing to accept, and also the order is very important. They are, forgive your parents, brake down before Jesus, ask for forgiveness, and read the Bible. Three books of the bible will be enough to get the revelation at step four. I recommend Genesis, Mathew, and then either Luke, Psalms, or proverbs. To be forgiven we must forgive. It's all over the Bible, both new, and old. Jesus teaches this lesson himself via parable in Mathew, but if you're not willing to search for that lesson, just read Mathew 6 14-15. We're supposed to forgive everyone, but because God knows that's hard, he makes the bare minimum forgiving your parents, because they've fed, clothed, housed, raised, loved you to some degree, and should be the easiest to forgive. Forgiveness is a huge step, and it trips up most people. Churches barley even bother to teach it's importance. Even though the Bible makes it extremely clear you cannot be saved until you do. Everyone has issues with their parents, it is for this reason, so you have someone easy to forgive. It can be harder if you have horrible parents, but just try, God will notice your efforts. This step coming first is extremely important, it basically primes your soul, gets God's attention. The order is like baking a cake. If you bake unmixed eggs, and flour, no cake. Since you can't be forgiven until you forgive, most people mess this up. Thinking falsely that asking for forgiveness is enough. It is not. The next biggest trip up is one of the worst in my opinion, actually reading the Bible for yourself. It is a necessity. God uses the time you spend reading to show you who he is, and give you important signs. Church is not enough. It's really only for community, and helping each other anyway. The denomination does not matter at all, as long as you're following what's written yourself. Although Catholics have a unique problem, in the fact that the church promotes the worship/prayer to saints. This is idolatry. The only way to the Father is though Jesus Christ. Saint Paul may have been a good person, but praying to him will lead you to Hell. I can state with absolute certainty that these steps work every time, when done with a genuine heart. It's not hard, just mean the steps when you do them. Testing God only makes him hide himself. Please, take your salvation seriously. Once you've done these four steps, God reveals himself. It won't be anything you can miss, nor misinterpretae, not signs, not feelings, but an actual one on one conversation with God. He gives you so many secrets then. Along with all the proof you'll ever need. Faith is the path to God, but once you've found him his existence should be knowledge. Faith is still extremely important, but more so in trusting his plan. Please, do these steps for yourself. Each must walk his own journey. Nobody else can get you into Heaven. I'm so serious. It's all real. See for yourself.
@@jamesmayle4712 I literally... would never have read this myself? Like the RUclips comment section is the least attractive way to read an essay -- nah you come here for petty little anecdotes and helpful tidbits. But actually I read Matthew 6 like days ago and now I finally understand a little bit of what you're talking about. But it was because I had help from my university's church group, who I'm willing to be guided by. I suggest you use this effort better, and actually spread God's love, wisdom, and knowledge in person.

This has instantly become one of my favourite P&T bits. Teller is basically acknowledging there years together and letting Penn know he loves him. Awesome 👏
I feel that no matter what Teller was going to fool Penn, he is the brains after all. Penn has said it over and over. It was a touching performance, for a moment I thought Teller would tear up. Two best of friends performing for one another. 👍
Teller was really smart about this because it was just 1 swift move. done when penn was very busy moving objects, reading and trying to catch another misdirection.
Penn is obviously somewhat joking about teller being all the brains. Penn is just humble. They're also not really friends... Business partners through and through.
@@noahhyde4409 you’re right. They’re not really friend that much. They’re kinda friend but beside magic, they don’t get along that well. Penn had said in interview that they both respected each other and know they need each other to make this work lol

The most impressive thing about Penn & Teller is they are the epitome of entertainers. Obviously magicians but funny and they know how to REALLY entertain. Love watching them! Thanks for the video!
Very nice. Teller really made it look like he picked a needle up from Penn’s hand... he did but dropped them all but kept his hand in a position where it appeared as if he still had a needle. A swap was made earlier to a needle already threaded and he kept the needle concealed very well until he pretended to pick up a needle and put it in the thread. He just dropped the already needle that is attached down and viola. Looks magical as hell!!! So lovely!
At 4:04 he only pretended to pick up one of the needles. He already had a prepared needle with a bundle of thread looped through the eye in his left hand. He had this prepared needle hidden in his right hand for the first part of the trick, then put it in his left hand when he put the empty film canister in his pocket (along with the bundle of thread he made at the beginning of the trick).
Yeah, I saw the fake pick up. But I can’t work out where the stashed needle comes from. There are several shots of Teller’s hands with open fingers. It would be hard to hide the stashed needle.
@@Fogmeister It was kept in his right hand for the entire beginning of the trick. He never opens his right hand until after he transferred it to his left hand at 3:57

It’s a touching performance and I love the focus on their partnership and shared success. It fooled me at first, too. And I’m only missing one ditch (although I have ideas but not 100% sure). But what still fools me is how anyone, regardless of the trick, can thread a needle that many times 😂
Nice code talk! The performance by Teller was really beautiful, I really liked this trick. I am a sucker for such "old-fashioned" tricks, for close-up on such a small scale, and even though it is so small, and (probably) uses very well known principles, it plays really big. Loved it! I think even the glass dome was a misdirection (or at least a red herring for Penn).
The one thing I haven’t been able to duplicate, after experimenting with this after a few careful replays, is either I am being fooled by one of the misdirections and over thinking that one off beat hand move to get the scissors to tap ;) When in reality it never was necessary at an earlier point when we pick up a needle. Also, DAMN his sleight is so so so smooth.
I think the glass dome is there so that Penn can't easily inspect the needle closer. The reason is that Teller has to take it out of his pocket and switch it out by sleight of hand and I imagine that's harder with a pointy needle.
@@tilad1420 I think the dome is there (or more specifically: the bottom) is there to keep the preloaded needle from falling out of the spool of thread. Also, Penn can just take off the dome if he wants a closer look, but it won't make any difference cause it's just a real needle treaded over and over again.
If Teller lets you see something, it's on purpose. You see the preloaded needle in his hand at the *exact* moment Penn reads "nice misdirection" off the Teller-Prompter. 😄 I think Teller was letting everyone in the audience have a chance to know what was up.
I knew before watching this that Teller was going to use "slight of hand" and "misdirection". He is the Master of that, and it looks very good everytime.
Jason I think the real trick here is that you got me to watch this video twice, because I had to go watch the original P vs T then come back here to comment that I noticed you had to Google something in both of them. Well played.
To start: The magician reaches (right hand can be a choice) into their right hand pocket and palms a prethreaded bundle onto the eye of a needle, while at the same time concealing or covering it up while in a palmed position by grabbing a spool of thread, being retrieved from the right hand pocket. Next, the thread from off of the spool, is bundled small and is then finger palmed out of view (left hand); while at the same time the other hand (right hand) replaces or brings into view the portion of small threaded bundle of thread from the palmed prethreaded bundle preset onto a needle. Next the left hand, holding the finger palm of bundled thread from the spool then reaches to grab the spool of thread used to then reach into his other left hand pocket to then grab the film canister full of needles, leaving the thread bundle and spool of thread behind in the pocket. Next is to take a needle using the left hand from the canister and transfer it to the right hand. When the needle reaches the right hand it is immediately palmed by the left hand while the left hand is bringing into view the needle attached and or who's eye is threaded through the small bundle of thread. With the needle now palmed in the left hand it is time for it to pick up the scissors to do the tapping with. When the scissors are set back down onto the table, the palmed needle in the left hand is also left behind with the scissors. And this is fine as the scissors and needle come back onto the table where the film canister and other bunch of needles are, in a loose pile or placement on the table Just a guess.
Glad you’re ok Jason! You’re a good guy and I always enjoy your videos. You always stick perfectly in that grey area when describing a trick. You always have good insight on the fables. Thank you for what you do! BTW I always love hearing your intro and outro music!
To me the most wonderful thing about them is that their profession is literally to deceive and yet they remain so friendly and honest with each other and beautifully moral when it comes to everybody else. It’s almost the exact reverse case with many people who claim to have a healthy relationship.
I will say this I am one of those people that had a chance even with family to learn how to do a lot of magic and I chose not to learn anything about it because I enjoy watching it with no clue... and one thing I enjoy about this channel is he never just gives people secrets away and I don't really care to know just to enjoy so I think you have found the perfect line for people who want to do puzzles and people who want to enjoy without having all the tricks ruined for them.
I first noticed SoH at 4:07 the first time through... But I didn't catch the first SoH 3:27 (which was truly the "trick" ) until I replayed a couple of times. Very creative misdirection.
Penn&Teller fool each other would work as a web series. I like the idea of magic in the intro, but less of it would be better. Teller absolutely fooled me! (although watching it again, I also saw it.) He really is one of the best, it's great to watch him work.
3:58 - 4:00 As Teller transfers the thread from right hand to left, you can actually see the needle reflect some light in a split second. There you would know that the thread was already prepared with the needle. What we did not see though is where or when did he swapped it from the original thread that he roll. But whatever. Seeing these 2 master magicians performing for each other is already a heartwarming feature.
I have a pretty good idea how it was done. Preloaded needle inside the spool, and a mimed picking-up of a needle from Penn's hand, but no needle was picked up.
Hey brother, just came across your channel again and subscribed used to watch you alot back in the day but RUclips stopped recommending you and I forgot your name (Sorry) but I'm glad to see your still making content and looking forward to seeing what I missed
nice. I was totally fooled first time I saw it, then watched again and realised how he did it. then on third viewing saw a very quick (2 frame) flash that proves it as he swaps hands
Imagine a magic show like the voice , aspiring magicians on teams against each other with mentors like pen and teller, would be interesting to see them do performances to each other with an entire team of magicians . Oh man just thinking about the crazy magic that could be done with so many magicians putting ideas together.
Love the card handling at the start. I only wish I could handle cards like that! Sadly I have carpal tunnel and tendonitis in both wrists and my hands just give out too quickly.
We all know it's a switch, because nobody could possibly thread the needle like that under those conditions, but even though I've watched Irehman's analysis RUclips, I still can't see the switch. Teller's a phenom with his fingers.
Do you like gas stations? ⛽ I love gas stations 🙂 I like the smell, they way how long open they are if you wanna buy cigarettes or beer and I love the way they look like 🙂 I'm really into gas stations to be fair :) What about you Leo FOnt? :)
Damn, I heard Teller Promper and thought you had missed it, but rewinding it back, you did miss it but mentioned it on screen as you found it like later or something hahaha.
I've been checking out your videos for some time Jason, and I would like to see you do more tricks. Doesn't even have to be super flashy just some cool stuff here and there I feel would be cool. You're clearly talented. Even just some dope cardistry. That's just how I feel I don't know about other fans.
You probably stepped on an oily sprat :) Your story reminds of when I wake up in the middle of the night and my arms circulation has been cutoff, and I often fear that one of these times, I'll have broken one of them and not know it, since I had lost all feeling in them and may have tossed and turned with my body weight able to roll over on one and *Snap* :p but luckily, hasn't happened yet. Btw, you forgot your pencil :p
Had to give your video a thumbs up. The content was good and I like the fact you didn't reveal how it was done. I rather let it amaze me thanks for that :)
Well your ending tale was certainly unexpected, glad to see you're not paralyzed -- time to start struttin' around in one of those high-tech intelligent airbag vests for motocyclists perhaps! ^_^
Thanks for sharing your experience in the snow; there was indeed a nice life lesson there. I actually preferred it ("Jasop's fables"?) to Aesop this week.
I didn't think, unfortunately, that this was Teller's best performance. I think it was because he slowed it down because Penn was reading off the teleprompter and wanted Penn to actually watch what was going on
The performance given here is from Tommy Wonder (Amsterdam) - World of Wonder. Although it does involve slight-of-hand, the actually result is based on something really special; one need to know 1 exact thing, which cannot be reconstructed from watching this video.
I was totally fooled, but then again, I'm not a magician and supposed to be fooled by it! I didn't even try to get it, sleight of hand should be recognizable somehow when rewatching in slomo, because I just love the poetic way, Teller puts into his performances. As strange as it sounds, I WANT to be fooled. ;)
There's a lot of stuff going on before he puts that spool of thread away. I'm thinking he had a preloaded needle. And while he's reading the teleprompter his eyes aren't on his hands very well. So he couldn't see him palming or loading or discarding anything while he puts the spool of thread away.
I totally recognise the realisation after an accident that you are not paralysed as I experienced the same thing forty years ago after being lifted in the air by a car and dumped over a bank where I broke my collar bone on a tree stump. Shock, and tumbling through the air, can scramble the brains.
Missed opportunity after the pause at the end of the little monologue starting at 5:51, when Penn was already getting sentimental - If he would have put in "And it wasn't 'like 50 times,' it was 45 times because we've been working together for 45 years, you nitwit.'" Penn would have cried like a little girl. Edit to add: He very careful made precisely 11 full loops... If you count the thread going forward and backwards, that crosses the centerline 22 times... then he folds it in half... he specifically threaded the needle 44 times.
Something I dnt see in the comments is the fact Penn is going on a solo show called Penn and Friends. I believe this is in reference to that, and you can see they are all very touched by the moment
I like your amazing card skills! Specially I'm always absolutely amazed about the one trick in your intro where the drawed card fly back to the pile in your hand and your draw it to another pile 😳😳😳😳
Well I'm back and watching your videos. The constant cardistry (is that the correct term?)is a nice touch, and as usual I feel I can relate to the fable. Keep it up! ;-)
I suppose it was "lucky" that the first thing to hit wasn't the back of your head. I'm still feeling anxiety just picturing the incident -- but, very happy that you are OK
My first thaughts, Teller reached into his pockets 2 times, he picked up a needle with a pre winded thread. When he got a needle from Pen's hand, he switched it and dropped it on the table when reaching for the scissors.

I was always look forward to the effects with "about magic" will be. It instantaneously brings a smile on my face 😁
To start:
The magician reaches (right hand can be a choice) into their right hand pocket and palms a prethreaded bundle onto the eye of a needle, while at the same time concealing or covering it up while in a palmed position by grabbing a spool of thread, being retrieved from the right hand pocket. And this is fine as the scissors and needle come back onto the table where the film canister and other bunch of needles are, in a loose pile or placement on the table
Just a guess.
Seriously, glad you are all right after that fall. Even thought it was a year and 1/2 back in time. Stay well.
This just made me love teller more
Glad you’re ok Jason! You’re a good guy and I always enjoy your videos. You always stick perfectly in that grey area when describing a trick. You always have good insight on the fables. Thank you for what you do! BTW I always love hearing your intro and outro music!
Thanks very much :) 👍
To me the most wonderful thing about them is that their profession is literally to deceive and yet they remain so friendly and honest with each other and beautifully moral when it comes to everybody else. It’s almost the exact reverse case with many people who claim to have a healthy relationship.
I like how Parker said don’t comment below it’s too early for that even though by that time in the video the sleight of hand has already been done.
i was so happy to catch him pulling the needle from where it shouldnt be
Doing card tricks during the intro was pretty cool! I liked it!
This is so cute! How Teller wrote the last scripted line of Penn in the teleprompter! And they fooled each other!!!
I couldn't even tell what Teller did let alone how he did it. I think Penn would be proud of your 'code talk.'
Penn&Teller fool each other would work as a web series.
I like the idea of magic in the intro, but less of it would be better.
Teller absolutely fooled me! (although watching it again, I also saw it.) He really is one of the best, it's great to watch him work.
The simplicity is so elegant with this trick I wanna recreate it now.
What an amazing pair they are! Long live Penn and Teller!!
3:58 - 4:00
As Teller transfers the thread from right hand to left, you can actually see the needle reflect some light in a split second. There you would know that the thread was already prepared with the needle. What we did not see though is where or when did he swapped it from the original thread that he roll.
But whatever. Seeing these 2 master magicians performing for each other is already a heartwarming feature.
Guess Penn was fooled even before the act started. He didn’t pick up anything at all during the intro. This is such a good trick though. 😄
Nice tricks in the intro bro I must have watched at least 50 of your reaction videos now 😁
What’s funny is if Penn was legitimately fooled Teller probably just told him right after…
I have a pretty good idea how it was done.
It's easier to find a needle in a haystask when the needle is not in the haystack...
nice. I was totally fooled first time I saw it, then watched again and realised how he did it. then on third viewing saw a very quick (2 frame) flash that proves it as he swaps hands
@@kaeverens I had a thought, and saw the flash, but needed probably 5 more times to figure out all of the moves.
Teller fool Penn, but Penn couldn’t fool Teller.
3:59 Spot the needle in Teller's hand!
Yeah, this one was easy to figure out.
Doing card tricks during the intro is really cool! You can handle them so symmetrically and beautifully
to be fair, i actually like you doing card stuff during your intro :P
3:59 he makes the "change"
You probably stepped on an oily sprat :)
Your story reminds of when I wake up in the middle of the night and my arms circulation has been cutoff, and I often fear that one of these times, I'll have broken one of them and not know it, since I had lost all feeling in them and may have tossed and turned with my body weight able to roll over on one and *Snap* :p but luckily, hasn't happened yet.
Btw, you forgot your pencil :p
Had to give your video a thumbs up. The content was good and I like the fact you didn't reveal how it was done. I rather let it amaze me thanks for that :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Well your ending tale was certainly unexpected, glad to see you're not paralyzed -- time to start struttin' around in one of those high-tech intelligent airbag vests for motocyclists perhaps! ^_^
3:59 If you look closely, you will see a needle hidden in his hand.
3:29 is the mentioned hidden edit and if you advance frame by frame you see a bling just above his right-hand thumb.
Teller prompter HAHAHAAHA!
Yeah, watch where ur going man! lol I was entertained
Thanks for sharing your experience in the snow; there was indeed a nice life lesson there. I actually preferred it ("Jasop's fables"?) to Aesop this week.
i'm glad they're sincere about their relationship
the teleprompter being on point the entire time was interesting.
Thank you for these reactions, they really make my day better.
I love this 16 minutes of complete entertainment and relaxation.
My first video on your channel! I enjoyed it, you seem more relatable than most other magic RUclips channels!
Wow, thank you!
That is exactly how I hurt my back this winter! Exactly. I even did the am I paralyzed thing.
I was totally fooled, but then again, I'm not a magician and supposed to be fooled by it! I didn't even try to get it, sleight of hand should be recognizable somehow when rewatching in slomo, because I just love the poetic way, Teller puts into his performances. As strange as it sounds, I WANT to be fooled. ;)
I love that!
There's a lot of stuff going on before he puts that spool of thread away. I'm thinking he had a preloaded needle. And while he's reading the teleprompter his eyes aren't on his hands very well. So he couldn't see him palming or loading or discarding anything while he puts the spool of thread away.
Teller is 72 years old and looks darn good for his age!
I read it: "teller-prompter" when you said it 😊
Wow honestly I really enjoyed the card juggling :) great content. Love your reaction videos
Thank you so much 😁
Imagine if Penn and Teller kept trying to fool each other over and over again, and then Alyson, like a sprat, tried to stop them.
I like your amazing card skills! Specially I'm always absolutely amazed about the one trick in your intro where the drawed card fly back to the pile in your hand and your draw it to another pile 😳😳😳😳
Thank you so much!
Had to google what sprat is in Finnish, and yes I have eaten it.
Well I'm back and watching your videos. The constant cardistry (is that the correct term?)is a nice touch, and as usual I feel I can relate to the fable. Keep it up! ;-)
God bless you my friend you are one inspiring man hope you always keep up the good work :)
I appreciate that!
AESOP Diplomacy can come from any area or branch of the hierarchy and even from lower branches should have equal footing
I suppose it was "lucky" that the first thing to hit wasn't the back of your head. I'm still feeling anxiety just picturing the incident -- but, very happy that you are OK
certainly a magnetized needle split lengthwise down the middle, the wooden base helps keep the "needle" in one peice
My first thaughts, Teller reached into his pockets 2 times, he picked up a needle with a pre winded thread. When he got a needle from Pen's hand, he switched it and dropped it on the table when reaching for the scissors.
after watching the the second time, it looks like Teller didn't get the prepared needle from his pocket. It was inside the thread canister !
