- UConn head coach Dan Hurley credited St. John's aggressive defense with stifling the Huskies offensively in a 68-62 loss. Hurley: "The defense, the rebounding, the physicality... they're for real." As for his team Hurley was much less complimentary: "We didn't play with any fire and 22 turnovers... is really low level."

The season's not over yet. Lot's of basketball left to play. Only lost by 6 to a red hot team. Need to get a W at Creighton on Tuesday night though. Go Huskies!
I don’t see them beating Creighton on the road however I think they finish the season strong
@@issac-j3m I think it's a must win game. They lost (narrowly) to Creighton at home and need the payback victory on their resume.
@@misterdrummingsI disagree
@@issac-j3m They have 8 regular season games 3 remaining and only 3 of them are against Quad 1 teams- and Creighton is one of those teams (St. John's & Marquette are the other two). For conference and NCAA tournament seeding purposes alone this is a very important game. All games should be looked at as must-wins anyway.
@ I just want to get in . I knew this team wasn’t winning it all since early December . And I knew this team wasn’t gonna get a respectful seed since Liam got hurt . Im very thankfully what they gave us the last two years and I’m at peace with whatever happens the rest of the way unless they somehow miss the tournament
UCONN lost because Liam Mcneely and Karaban their two best players did not have a great shooting night. UCONN was right there with 3-4 minutes left in the game. The will make it back to the final four if their best team defense plays stellar defense and Karaban and Mckneely get HOT!!
Liam's first game back. Was rusty first have. He will continue to get better this month. With a healthy Diara and Liam they could go deep in the tournament
What's up with that crazy eye....is he lookin' at you, or is he lookin' at me???
Why highlight your team's weaknesses? Mistakes, yes, but too much information. Blueprint for how to beat UConn.
I think a two time championship coach knows what he is doing
He is speaking to his team. Letting them know 47 TO in 2 games is UNACCEPTABLE. Uconn knows what they need to work on in prep for the tournament. It's no secret st johns defense is top level. Coach Hurley is just restating the obvious here
SJU may go to the Sweet Sixteen, owing to a high seed. Is that formidable? Is that a deep run? They will go no farther. They are an elite defensive team. But they have zero post presence, and they can’t shoot threes to save their lives. They don’t play great on both sides of the ball.
ur hilarious. enjoy ur L.
@ Enjoy your exciting but brief run. Sweet sixteen will be a welcome achievement for SJU and I think their chances are good to get there
I’m a UConn fan but their defense is elite . Aren’t they too 5 coming into the game ??
Good Stuff!!
Ole Danny boy got humbled by a much better coach.
@@notapplicable9316 u mean the guy that lost 4 in a row to him ??
Stoors, not Stokes
Guess no Luka for you bag fumbled 😂
"Ummm" seems to be his favorite word....that clown's a whack job.
@@muffinman4353 nah you’re the clown
@issac-j3m yeah, you the clown too... just like, egghead , the goofy cross eyed coach.
Ummmm, ummm, ummm
Uconn men and women are the best at beating the sucky team but when they play the good team they fold!!!
Pretty much this year
The men just beat the then, #9 ranked team in the nation. Without their best player. Everyone takes their lumps in the Big East.
Life in the Big East. Loaded teams
Connecticut will go further in March than St. John’s. They can’t shoot it.
