    Very simple but very useful idea.! I am definitely going to build and use the circuit..
    I think a fully charged 18650 battery will power the clock for at least 10years due to it's minimal power consumption.

      You can use rechargeable cell by purchasing from market there is no need to use resistance
      Any power supply that have 3 volt dc you can use directly
      If the cell have 3 volt power supply like showing on the video then you have no need to use any resistance

      @@arunkamal2320 Dear Arvind ji, Many thanks for your valuable suggestions. I have already applied low value resistance (4.5k×2) but Output voltage was not satisfactory ! Shows 2.70/72 ? which can be harmful for my clock! I have requested two times, to
      Mukeshji (you can see in the comment box) for any alternate solution but no response from his end. Now I give up this idea.Thank you again. Be happy and healthy life.

    When we use the lithium ion battery for low current device, it's self discharge will be more than the actual use. So the battery will not last for years. A normal alkaline battery works for about 2 years. A 3.7v , 2400mah battery will last for about 3.5 years. It has about 24% self discharge per year when used for low current device.
