  • In this video we continue on with the retro build for the Arrma Granite. This is the second video in the series and this time, AJ digs into the running gear to see how worn things have become. New parts ready to be installed, he begins with the diffs spur and pinion check, along with the drive axels, and then moves on to the rest of the build. Come along as AJ shows you how we do it here at the studio. There's no wrong or right about it, for the way we see it, "To each his own with RCs". We hope this helps when you need it.

    Should have put typhon arms in. That’s what I did with mine from new and it’s such a better truck. And I added pro-line big bore shocks.

    Awesome! I noticed your using the Dewalt driver recently, I love mine, they have a good adjustable clutch that you can adjust on the fly... what bits are you running? They seem nice and long, I don't know if you have done this already, but a video on basic, beginner RC tools would be a good watch, IMO 🙂

      We did that video. It’s in the 101 playlist. As far as the drivers go, I purchased them at a local hobby store some time ago. I can’t remember the name. 😎👍

    3:10 LOL. Mine lasted 5 weeks for rear and 7 weeks for front. Maybe I'm a bad driver.

    great video! How would tou compare it to a mt 10? i can get both but if i get a granite i might make it wider and install a centre diff. If i get the mt10 i will probably just swap esc and motor to make it fastert since it would be the same cost here. Heard th emt10 are crazy durable but havent seen people bash it as hard as the granite. Jeard the granite is a bit hit or miss in the durability appartment. Whats your opinion on these in comparison as cars?

    An RC newbie here , why did you change the arms to RPM ones? Maybe it was mentioned in the video but I missed it.

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  Год назад

      The RPM arms are more flexible. It helps durability a lot. Thanks for asking. 😎👍

      Not yet, at least not specifically. We do have differentials 101 which might help.
