I have had this pen in gold "tone" for a week or so with a fine nib which I enjoy especially for doodling and zentangles. Taking notes is wonderful , too, as I put down more information in a smaller space. Actually, I find holding it is positive as I can grip it securely. Your explanation of filling the pen was very good including looking for the notch.
Aw, thank you so much! It felt good making a video again, so maybe you’ll see me again soon. You’re right, the price on this is extremely competitive. And it looks amazing. I’m tempted to do a review of the Ensso Bolt.
It reminds me of that blue and white pen; we all had as kids; that contained red, green, and blue ink and you had a separate mechanism to activate each color.
Great to see a video from you again! I have been eyeing this pen myself. I got the Ensso Bolt but I haven’t inked it up yet! Would love to see your review on it! Thanks for the video!
Sorry about that! I’m a bit out of practice making these videos. My next video is going to be a review of the Ensso Bolt, and I’ll probably compare it with the Eclipse. I’ll try to include that information for both pens. It does have a trap door style mechanism similar to pens by Pilot and Platinum. But I’m still testing it for drying out. Thanks for watching!
Oh, thank you for the tip! I’ll have to try it. I have the old nib for my Pilot Capless around here somewhere. I upgraded that pen to a gold nib. Thank you so much for watching!
It looks to have the Pilot Vanishing point mechanism. Anyone can copy it anyway since it's been around for a long time. It just uses half the barrel instead of just the Pilot's button at the end.
It does seem to be a trend. It’s not like it’s a new concept, but perhaps the newer companies are just giving their take on it. Thank you so much for watching!
I just got mine and it's the same version. It uses the same nib assembly as the Pilot Vanishing Point, so that's an Asian medium which usually equals a western fine. This also means Pilot's other nib sizes are available, broad and stub. I hope this means Nahvalur will sell separate nib assemblies that are steel and cheaper than Pilot's gold ones. They'd make perfect swaps with the Majohn clones.
I had to edit out the part where I said it was like the Platinum Curidas converter. I could not have been more wrong! At least I saved myself from that embarrassment. Thank you for watching!
The other Chinese companies only offer EF and F nibs for their retractable pens. Maybe Nahvalur just calls them F and M instead. ;) That said, a medium nib would be nice.
I appreciate your opinion. I disagree. And that’s okay. That’s why fountain pens are so wonderful. There are an incredible number of options to meet every taste. Thank you so much for watching!
I do realize that. Unfortunately, the company has created a marketing challenge for themselves with their decision. I suppose I should get on board with what they’ve asked of us, but I can’t help but see it as pronouncing queso as cheese. Thank you so much for watching!
Your video showed up in my feed. Was interested in this pen but you saved me from what would probably be a disappointing purchase - thank you!
That’s why I wanted to jump on here and offer my first impressions. I’m glad it helped. Thanks for watching!

I’m glad to hear about your experience, and I do find it very comfortable to hold. Thank you for the kind words!
You went missing for a while!! Great to hear your voice again.
Cool pen, well priced in my opinion.

Thanks for the review, I get my fine nib in 2 days, so excited!
Enjoy! It’s a great pen with a fun design. Thanks for watching!
Thanks I've been waiting for a review of this!
I couldn’t believe I was the first to jump on it. It’s a really cool pen for the price. Did you decide to get it? Thanks for watching!

Ah, yes. I have fond memories of those. And they still make them. Thank you so much for watching!

The Bolt is a much different pen. I don’t want to give any spoilers here, so I guess I need to review it. Thank you for the kind words!
Thanks for the review.
You’re welcome!
Was really wanting to see the closing mechanism inside the tip. Is the nib wet, & starts right up when you haven't used the pen for awhile?

I tried a Pilot vp nib unit in the pen, it fit and functioned. A swap would make sense if you could find one with a steel nib.

Yep. I’m looking forward to experimenting. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for making a video about this pen! Why is it that capless/vanishing point copies are more common lately (or is it just me)?

I wonder if the nib unit can go into a Pilot capless/Majohn A1. It looks a lot like them.
I’m pretty certain. It looks exactly the same. Thanks for watching!
Thanks, that was a helpful video! I think it’s too big for my hands.
Hope you can enjoy the smaller M nib ☺️
I have small hands for a man, but I like big pens. It helps with my arthritis. Definitely not a pen for everyone. Thank you so much for watching!
Does it use a Pilot compatible converter?
I haven’t tested, but it looks identical. Thank you for watching!
I just looked the Pi.lot cart opening is larger. It would be great if the pen took a cart.
Oh no! I would have had fun with that. Oh well. Thank you so much for watching!
The nib unit is exactly like Pilot
I had to edit out the part where I said it was like the Platinum Curidas converter. I could not have been more wrong! At least I saved myself from that embarrassment. Thank you for watching!

Urban! So good to hear from you. That is true. And it writes pretty smoothly, so I can’t complain. Thank you so much for watching!
If I didn't have a Decimo already, I might have given this a though...
This is a much more interesting pen to look at, but I’m sure your Decimo provides a slightly better experience. Thanks for watching!
This should be called the Nautilus!
I suppose I should watch the video where they unveiled it to see if they explain their choice of name. Thanks so much for watching!
that is one fugly pen.
I appreciate your opinion. I disagree. And that’s okay. That’s why fountain pens are so wonderful. There are an incredible number of options to meet every taste. Thank you so much for watching!
For information purposes; Nahvalur is pronounced narwhal.
I do realize that. Unfortunately, the company has created a marketing challenge for themselves with their decision. I suppose I should get on board with what they’ve asked of us, but I can’t help but see it as pronouncing queso as cheese. Thank you so much for watching!
