    I left catholic for this annoyance view...catholic church in philippines is selfish because of the church leaders selfishness and narrow minded view on things...they don't care about their members wellness, they only care I think about people to suffer more in their situation so they will always rely their fate to god by going to church every Sunday and donate or give offerings.... It's only my opinion, up to others who are observant enough whether to agree or not...in Europe, except Vatican, the priests are not a problem...i can say, they are waking up in the reality and respect the essence of government by letting them do their job without using their faith as obstacles to solve lots of obstacles in marriages...

    If Catholics don't like dicorce, then just make it available to non-catholics..if you're a carholic, then you are not allowed to divorce...why force your religious beliefs to non-catholics.

      @@dodgek5270 the church basically has control over Philippine laws. It probably became more prominent during the people revolution. This is why the Vatican has a stronghold in the PH. It's just sad that the poor always contribute every Sunday (and other days)to Vatican.

    What is the church to do with with the state?
    The church doesn’t have anything to do to pass a law…they are not part if the senate nor the government.

    no divorce? this is unconstitutional. Give freedom to women who were abused in their marriage. give men fear not to abuse their spouse then more happy families.. Not all people are Catholics, why do you apply this to all people? Why Filipino Muslims free to divorce?

      And look at our society, many people living in adulterous unions because they couldn't even afford annulment or have enough evidences to support annulment. There is no difference at all.

      So, you think Filipino family lives are any better? Haven't you seen people complaining their partners on national tv. to Tulfo? Some of them aren't even married yet. Others just endure the pain of having an abusive partner because of fear of judgement.

      Can you give me the source of your information about the quality of life of families in the US?
      Pretty sure the majority of families in the USA are much better off than families in the Philippines.

    in my decision you should let people have a choice of annulment or divorce as alot of people cant afford annulment. And there are of people that are in the phillipines that cant move own because they can move on because they are still married, and please help make this people move own to better lives if they had bad experience in there marriage and did not work out at all. And make sure you that people in the phillipines should reasonable price and not expensive at all

    That's a very stupidest law , but i still have a question, if the divorce is not allowed, why they allows to a pfilipina to marry with a foreign people? I ask this because is make no sense , if the foreign man want to divorce is possible, so what about his ex wife ? This is legally? The other hand, Catholic church, wake up and read the Jesus teaching about the divorce don't interpret and misleading information

      @@liquidfire30 There is such a thing as legal separation where there are no longer any legal ties like property co-ownership, etc. The only thing she will not be able to do is legally remarry, but the law will not stop her from having a relationship with someone else.
