  • I had always been scared to even stop at a rest stop, nonetheless sleep at one. After having gone to a few walmart parking lots with no luck for a place to sleep (security trucks drive around to make sure people aren't sleeping in cars), I decided to take a chance on a rest area and it worked out. Plus, there were so many people there sleeping in their cars. I was quite amazed by it.

About this channel and the journey:
Taking a very traumatic experience with being sexually assaulted by a supervisor in 2019 ( • My Nightmare: Sexual A... ) with the airline I work as a flight attendant for and trying to turn it into something more positive. I lost just about everything ( • Giving Away my Life on... ). My options were to either go to a homeless shelter and give up (since because of the position that I’m in with my current company - their not paying me, I can’t quit, they can’t fire me and I can’t take any ongoing job with another company because it would be considered deserting the airline. I have a legal team working to resolve this situation with the airline) or I could make the most of this and turn it into something positive. I decided to turn it into something positive.
I am traveling and sleeping in my car, staying in places as long as it feels right, meeting people, having experiences and moving on to the next place when it feels right. I’m sharing the experience as I go, in hopes that I (and the people I meet along the way) can teach, inspire and entertain others.
I have shared some of the most important times of my life on this channel in over 600 videos. It started with my experience of living on the streets of New York to get a different prospective continued with my starting photography school at New York Film Academy and then traveling the US working on a photography project where I stayed with and heard stories from people from all over the US in over 50 cities. While on that journey, I met and fell in love with a guy and ended up relocating to Orlando to be with him. We lasted (off-and-on) for 2 and half years. There are videos from all of those experiences on this channel. I hope you’ll watch, be encouraged, maybe learn a little bit and enjoy what you see.

Hotel rooms are so expensive i can see why people sleep in the car!! Back in the 1980s we used to find motel rooms for $40 a nite......no more.

Blue Bird in the early 2000s I could find Motel 6s for $36 a night. Now they’re usually between $60 and $90 a night. Insane.

I was in my car for five months I was using towels and shirts to cover windows and then figure out cut cardboard to fit the windows works better and keeps all the lights out. Go To a liquor store ,Walmart,a corner store ask for a couple big boxes shape them to fit your windows.

Sounds good dude and if you use night after night u could tape/stick some tinfoil to them and reflect even more of your heat. 👍

Hotels are too much money in some places. Sleeping in the car is very difficult

California does not equal everywhere else.
