I bought my first YSL in Venice last year as a birthday present. I thought I'd switch to the LV collage medium I had in a limited edition color. Like a nude color. I agree with you, this is a very nice bag. Very classic bag, amazing quality, now I also want the YSL small down jacket. great video *regbags*
Gorgeous bags nowadays, however, to save money and get a high quality bag, try the *jklux* The remaining money goes to help poor students in the school pay for their education, it's not much but it does help them a little.
I believe you are the influencer who has evolved the most.Respect!
💯
True ❤
Yes!
Yea❤️
Agree
You have truly “leveled up” the most by gaining more soulfully, than materialistically. Much respect.
This is the mindset I’ve adopted. During the pandemic, I sold 300 of my personal items. Unbelievable how much clothing, shoes and bags I owned! I took those funds and purchased a brand new Chanel lambskin mini.
Today, my handbag collection consists of 3 bags: 1 Chanel, 1 Prada & 1 Valentino. I’m incredibly happy owning _much_ less in all aspects of life. I feel at peace when I come home to my curated belongings.
Edit to add: I still own my first Louis Vuitton I purchased during college but this is just keepsake, not for use.
I got rid of all my Chanel bags and LV, Fendi bags sometime ago. I have boughtful Coach, Dooney and Brahman bags that cost much less and have great organization and I don't have to baby. I have small ones and bigger ones for every day. I splurge on makeup (La Mer).

Just for perspective, when I was in college, I could barely afford my rent!

I’m so happy for the new Anna, lately your way of thinking and viewing life is very lovely and educational and I’m glad to watch your videos!
Being a brand yourself is the ultimate luxury
💯
This is 💯 true👏👏👏
Beautifully said ❤
Very beautiful bag and. Thank you for helping us make this beautiful video *jklux* .
I have ten bags and that’s more than enough. I am still trying to get ride of one or two. The simplicity and peace of life means more to me
I just started downsizing when this suggestion popped up. I invest now in more quality than brand name. And I feel less stress to be honest. But great video as always Mrs.Bey!
Yes !! I do this too
- medium size daytime handbag (one in black, one in white/cream)
- small dinner bag (one in black, one in white/cream)
- casual cross body bag for errands and walks (one that’s more for winter, one that’s more for summer)
And then i have a fun little pink bag and another one in gold 😝
This is very similar to my collection! I have 5 bags right now but could definitely use another 3.
I absolutely love the kind of content you're doing. I feel it's more realistic, down to earth and helps keep perspective of what's truly important in life. Thanks Anna.
Yes - and all while including elegance!
In the summer I have one bag- natural straw.
Winter bag is 1 neutral leather chestnut mid size, one small neutral chestnut leather bag.
Last summer I bought an orange canvas cross body which is just 'fun and colourful'.
Chrome is used in leather preparation on most leathers - so be aware of the toxic residues in the manufacture of leather.
yes, that's what I was thinking - a couple of summer bags of different material is what I felt should be added to the list.
I agree that a minimalist handbag collection is the way to go, but what I think that most people forget about when downscaling is to keep the bags that makes you feel that spark. Handbags should be fun and it should not only be functional, it should spark joy!✨👜
I agree! I’m definitely in the third category. I have 12 bags. I tend to use 6 of them in Winter/Autumn and the other 6 in Spring/Summer based on the color palette. I feel like I have enough to be able to play with color and have fun making my bag part of my outfit without overcrowding my closet.
Amazing! I’m working up to having 8 bags :)
Love how Anna has evolved so much! I have technically 3 handbags and 1 backpack (+ a tiny clutch that I maybe use once a year) but mostly use 2 of them in everyday life. A small bag and a medium bag. They are in a neutral colour that go with absolutely everything in my wardrobe and I love the simplicity of it. They are no big brand and weren’t expensive, but are beautifully handmade from high quality materials and have already lasted me years. I am so proud of wearing them, they are all I could ask for!
1:44 LOL that was priceless! Anna is speaking of high society people and the photo is: Cardi B with the tackiest Birkin!! Made my day❤
Thank you for keeping "Realistic" consumerism and materialism, we need to be more aware of priorities and I totally agree with you. I only purchased and buy bag when it can't be repaired but only replaced. Thank you ❤
Totally agree with 8-10 bags (incl. vacation bags)! It's enough and you can have neutrals + pop of colours. It's just such a perfect amount, it also covers every occasion ❤❤
Im enjoying your evolved mindset & perspective. It is much more Relatable to your Regular Audience.
I love so much how you’re self-aware and can look at things more deeply than a surface level
Omg this came just in time for me. Thank you! I was so desperate to buy a Chanel bag when I was in London few days ago that I felt a bit disappointed when I got home without one. For some reason I couldn’t give all my savings for just one bag. Thank you ❤
When i heard of the concept of a capsule wardrobe, i immediately jumped on board and it has limited my wardrobe and accessories to a manageable size. It’s better to be minimal. You use all your stuff and you save money. Now I’ve managed to curate a certain look where everything is cohesive and people can immediately tell whats my style and what’s not.
I love the capsule wardrobe. I don't have one, but the idea made me realize what my 'capsule'/style looks like.
This past week I put aside ALL my tops that are made of mostly polyester/acrylic materials. I have saved a lot of money the past few days, because I am challenging myself to buy only wool, cotton, natural fibers. The whole micro plastics in everything, ick.
I love this formula. I used to be a one bag person but I needed more than a day to day bag; I got a tote bag for work and a clutch for going out.
This is the same approach I used.
I have around 15 ,but I love them, and I don't need more ❤ I love your style, and they are neutral colors that match everything that's to your recommendations .Thank you!!!!!❤
I’m the mom of a teen ballet dancer who spends most of her time driving. I’ve moved into a backpack, gym tote, and three small purses. For this time in my life, the bag-in-a-bag concept is best for me. Thank you for this content, it is “How to Woman” gold!
I appreciate my small collection. I have classic brands of quality like coach dooney and Burke , even a Tori Burch 1 Louie alma 1 gucci That's all plus I stick to classic shapes, a bucket bag for casual a flap type bag, a zip top. A shoulder bag, a cross body, and a satchel.about 40 different affordable bags.
According to Leonardo da Vinci's work and philosophy, simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Thanks for this video!❤
I loved this video! You have grown so much over the years. This is so refreshing. Please continue the great work.
Couldn't agree more! A couple years ago cut my supply down to 5 just like you're saying + 1 sports bag for the gym! Never felt better))
I enjoy this video and very helpful. Allow me to thank you🙏
I actually plan to buy another bag tomorrow yet you have help me realized that i don't actually need it.
Thank you 🙏❤
Love *regbags* the way you show it! You really focus on showing off the bag. I don't think any other RUclipsr can show off bags in as much detail as you.
Hi Anna, I have 30 handbags. I really enjoy having options. I only have one designer bag as I don’t go to events very often. The rest are Michael Kors, Coach or Amazon. I don’t like to spend much on trends. So I usually buy the dupes. I really enjoyed this educational content. I’ve realized I don’t require anymore.
Great video, I like the curated, capsule approach to handbags that you have set out. Focusing on what you actually do each day and finding bags that work for those occasions is a no brainier but is often overlooked when we are bombarded with advertising. Fewer options also means less mental energy in taking decisions. It’s a win win 😊
It is not about the number it is about new colors and designs that are so beautiful to own
For me 6 is enough. I need a beach bag, tote bag, work bag, at least 2 evening bags, and a gym bag. Thank you Ana! I do believe less is more! ❤😊❤
Hello, my dear and elegant Anna! I have been following your content since the beginning and I am really enjoying this new perspective on material life that you have been presenting.
We are on the same page about this. I would add another bag for sports activities.
For me it is an essential item. Depending on the activities, we need more than one different bag. Sometimes we need to carry a lot of things to the gym.
Or we should carry less things for a walk or a run, but we end up needing to carry a cell phone, a water bottle, keys, headphones, documents, a light coat and even an umbrella at times... It is difficult to maintain elegance in these moments sometimes. I remember that you have already made a video about sportswear.
I believe that sports accessories also deserve an exclusive video! It will be very useful! ❤
Really helpful guidance Anna! I am thinking carefully about my purchases and this has helped immensely. Very practical.
I love these types of video from you! Been following you since the beginning. Thank you ❤
Such a nice guide for ladies starting their journey in the elegance world ☺️
What you need is great style and confidence. I would add to that, the knowledge that all these things are impermanent and simply just stuff regardless of the designer label. I have 3 designer bags that I had for many years, which will last me for many more.
You are so right. I think I’ll always love fashion and high quality good. However traveling to places like Italy teaches you good quality and style doesn’t always come with a huge price tag. Many family run businesses make beautiful goods (some of which is purchased by the big designers and logos are added later). And it’s the experiences that matter. People think I live this lavish lifestyle, but I’m afforded the time to be selective and I don’t need to buy things to keep up with others. I have enough. What I enjoy is really doing the things I like (within a budget), and when others are loading up carts full of garbage that may be inexpensive, I’m not. That stuff creates clutter. I’ll go without, and save my money for the experience and items that I will truly appreciate and have for a long, long time. One item you can wear 1000 times is better than a 1000 items you only wear once. Fulfillment comes from within and knowing one’s heart and desires. Living in truth and being authentic and liked because of it comes in time and maturity.
Anna, I’ve noticed you wear a lot of “Winter color season” colors. High contrast and clear colors. Do you know if this is your color season? I’m a Winter and it would be nice to reference the wardrobe you feature in your videos. Thank you!
Ah - I always thought she is in the summer color category
@ right? she will wear summer hues at times. That’s why I asked because I wasn’t sure.
@ right, i also wonder if it's the lighting. hope we get an answer @annabey
I love watching your videos. I am not sure how many bags I have but I find myself using the same 3 or 4. I am retired so don't need totes but I do tend to categorize mine into winter/summer styles. I live in a cold climate so I use a bag based on how well it goes over a big coat.
I really love the perspective in this video! Social media often makes us feel like we need a massive handbag collection, but in reality, having different styles isn’t about showing off. It’s about matching different outfits and moods. Some days call for elegance, some for a casual vibe, and others for a more polished look. That’s why I truly appreciate Lushentic grade bags. Their impeccable craftsmanship and premium quality allow me to explore different styles with confidence, without stressing over the price. After all, fashion isn’t just about appearance; it’s about feeling empowered! 💖✨
Great video, Anna, thank you!
I know you’ve already done videos for coats and shoes, but I would love to see it revisited with this strategy/perspective. I’m really interested to hear what 2025 Anna would have to say about our shoe and coat collections.
Internal validation > external validation....❤
I loved this video Anna! You’re such an inspiration 😍
Thanks for the reminder about investing in what we really need and not just what we see other people do! Great video for people of all kinds.
Love the conversation. I realized I like mini bags where I put my essentials, then carry a tote or backpack to put other things. I like light weight crossbody purses that can also be carried by hand or on the shoulder. I find leather bags are heavy unless they are a small size. But I keep watching purse videos and I do get tempted to buy. I recently sold some purses and I don't use. It is good to sell things I don't use, it reminds me that I don't use them!
I have 7 and i consider myself a minimalist. Just have different activities i need it for. Like 1 backpack for groceries shopping 1 smaller backpack for lots of walking, then there are the stuff you mentioned with work/day/evening bags
I know what you’re saying but I sometimes come across a design that’s absolutely me! It’s small enough to do go from day to night, but has enough space to hold my essentials and then I wear it till I tear it! I’m mostly too lazy to keep switching handbags unless it’s for a social event! On the other hand I love shoes. Not brands but rather comfortable, walkable, colorful, shoes that I can wear all day! Sneakers are for workout or long hikes! 😊❤❤
I don't think I've been pressured to own many handbags but I do feel that I've been encouraged to own many handbags 🤣😆💚
I REALLY enjoyed this video and would love to see this done with other articles of clothing. Tops, bottoms, different climates, different work lifestyles (do you work in a grocery store, do you work in an office, do you go to the gym, etc) Elegance can be with any job and lifestyle and I love that you promote that. Thanks Anna!
Well said my dear elegant Lady! ❤❤❤
Oh Anna, my problem is that I like too many pops of colour! I have the royal blue, baby blue, pink, yellow, orange, red, green and then all the neutrals too! This year I am trying to reduce my handbag collection to 20 only (5 per season)... still need to sell a few 😅 xx
So very true about only purchasing that which fits in your actual lifestyle. I HATED purses with a passion simply because I am a woman on the go and the quality bags were too expensive (even if I could I would not spend that much money on a bag, personally) and those at the correct price were absolute garbage and would look old within one season! I found a company called Sarah Haran which ticked all the right boxes for me. I can switch them up - they take me from travel, to work to a night out with little fuss and always looks put together. It is possible to get a little tacky with how one curates the pieces but by stying with simple classic colors and patterns, I have bags and QUALITY purses for life. That was seriously a life changing brand for me personally.
In Nigeria where I am from, the average girl has over 10 handbags😆 maybe if very minimal or financially restrained then 5. We use yellow, red, purple blue, all sorts lol. But i personally do more neutral colors. I have a katespade plum color for work in addition to neutrals. I was expecting metallic colored clutches.. we do that alot here. Then some colorful shoe and bag matches for our traditional wears lol. I have green everyday/ evening small bag too that goes with everything asides the blacks browns and whites. Nice video Anna. Glad i watched
I rotate my bags daily or weekly; just use them and have fun matching your outfits
After I invested in three luxruy bags I slowed down acquiring new bags. I have had a handbag addiction for over twenty years and I have slowed down quite a bit.I am a work in progress.
Thank you for sharing this information Anna I have a few handbag but not a lot I appreciate your guidance looking forward to learning more ❤️
Hey Anna,I watched your video years ago where you asked Us to either take a course or go back to school.Just here to let you know that I finally completed my bar course as an Advocate.I am here to say thank you for talking to me.
I love your way of explaining ❤
It's really nice to have different colours even of the same hand bag. But moving stuff in and out is a bit annoying. I often end up with using the same bag 😁
My experience also!!
Dear Anne , thank you for the elegance that you teach us 💜🤍
I literally have 3 . A vintage clutch,
an everyday bag that is perfect for almost every occasion except the most elegant. And a shoulder bag for those occasions when I need my hands free like flea market shopping and such.
Loving the content anna. It's so great to know that u are always gonna be there as voice of right❤
Great video Anna❤
I’m kinda category 2 plus for the summer I bought a straw tote bag plus small straw bag in light creme colors. I’m so happy with my small collection ❤
I like how you gave a few options of owning stuff. Please do it with all your next videos about clothes, etc. Because people are different. I personally find it overwhelming to own lots of stuff, but I do like having a few nice things. I have 2 bags, but enjoyed to watch the rest of the video, because some people do need more things then others
If excluding my gym and hiking bags, I have 21 handbags and feel as if the amount is a bit silly but also get a little unsettled about the idea of rehoming a few. I tend to lean more towards colour than neutrals and in doing that, It kind of opened the flood gates to accumulating variances.
my foundational bags are copper for day, brown and navy for work bags. color pop bags are yellow, orange, red. my evening bags are burgundy and med-blue/navy. I picked up two blue-based grays - light gray and dark gray - large - and working them into my wardrobe.
Hi Ana ,i love handbags ,my family knows that so they gifted me ...but not anymore 😊that name brands to high to come by 😂😂😂 but i love what i have ..thank you love to watch you ..💝
So glad for the clarity, thank you
Very practical and sensible approach to curating own capsule wardrobe. 👜😊
I'm on the quest of downsizing my wardrobe and other things. A few years ago I've tried M.Kondo and realized the excess I do not use. Along 20/80 Pareto Rule, I tend to use only certain things for most of the time.
Now, I decided to try 'Swedish Death Cleaning' as I still find the amount of stuff suffocating. Especially that the British homes lack sufficient (any) storage. 😅
omg yes i need this thank u!!
Anna the luxury grinch made me laugh out loud 😂 great video as always, I really agree with all of this!
I keep one handbag for each season with different color leather . I'll buy new ones every few years to replace as needed .
I have two totes .
When I have to travel I use one of 2 crossbodies .
I unintentionally practicing one handbag of one activity type. I have one tote bag (long champ) for work, one cross body bag (polene) for casual going out with my dog, and one nice structure handbag (launer) for going out with my girls or something a bit style up event. I am happy with what I have and I am using all of them equally.
Anna I love love this content . This is why I follow you I love your videos so back to your styles ❤ so informative and fun 🤩
It depends on the season as well…
During summertime we use other bags.
I believe in a few bags too, but what about polished backpacks? It’s a way I like my bag sometimes or mist of the time!
What about smaller bags with a strap?
I have a Louis Vuitton, an MCM, a Pinko, a Karl Lagerfeld…
It’s my go to when a want to feel light…
Night and day time
Or what about texture?
I have a gold bucket bag from a Greek designer I live, it’s one of my most elegant bags!
Love you ❤️❤️❤️
this was SUPER helpful! thank you! yes, please more videos like this!
Thank you for your video ❤ I found it interesting and useful 😊 I have never been a handbag person, so this is quite reassuring, as I have always been left wondering if I am perculiar because of it! It turns out I just like to keep it basic 🙃 all the handbags look great, I simply have little purpose for them!
You are the real definition of INFLUENCER. many thanks for your videos ❤❤❤
I LOVE your videos, Anna. ❤
You aree so right ❤ growing with you Anna ❤❤❤❤❤
Anna you are right about that less is more ❤thank you
Your videos are always my favorite and match my style, my ideas, and what I am trying to achieve. 🎉❤
Anna, you truly are such a sweetheart! 😊
I recently decluttered my closet from a lot of stuff I wasn't using. After that I realized I only really need 3 handbags. One that is on the fancier side when I don't need to bring a lot or be fully practical. I can use this for work, or evenings. Second one needs to be a bit bigger, more practical, and with a proper closure. I can use this also for work, but more so for going around in a busy city, travels, etc. Third one needs to be sturdy, practical and rain-proof. This is obviously for wearing when it's raining or snowing. These are the 3 handbags that I ended up using on a regular basis. Two of them I made myself, as I have intermediate skills in sewing that I like to put into use, and it also allows me to fully customize the bags to my personal needs. One is light pink with white lining, and the other is wine red with cream white lining, both have brass details. The third one I bought from H&M, because I haven't figured olut how to make a waterproof bag, but like anything in fake leather will do. This one is black.
In addition to my 3 handbags I also use basic totebags for carrying additional things, like if I have a sewing or knitting project with me on the go, or need to stop by a store for buying a few items. I also have an old backpack for when I go swimming, to the gym, etc, and a grocery bag on wheels for when I need to buy a lot of stuff, as I don't have a car. That's basically the entirety of my bag collection and it feels like a good and useful one for now.
This is justt what i needed atm!!! Thankyouu
If we invest in good bags that we love, then as we age, we will naturally accumulate them, but not always use them because our tastes and our activities change. That is how my collection grows, however, I do cull them from time to time due to a lack of space.
I really appreciate this video. I do need a couple more bags but I won’t buy one unless I’m going to love it forever, so I would rather wear a “wrong” bag that’s close enough than buy one simply to fill a “hole” in my wardrobe
I had a time in my life when I wanted to have every color of my favorite bag, to proof something to myself. I did also relfect my behaviour like you did. 🙏🏼😊
Thanks a ton Anna for this video. Can you make a similar one for footwear. Including how to match footwear with outfits or handbag.
I’m also in the last category. And I have chosen my bags intentionally, and I use most of my bags, a depending what I wear. I have 28 and may need one (light tote) and get some away (2 or 3 I’m not using) ❤️🤗❤️
You mentioned thoughtful points and strategies. Thank you for the 3 options that you shared for us to apply. I would love to listen to your perspective and approach on shoes.
Thank you for your advic. I will be waiting for moment where you show us all bags from your bag,s colections. I am so interesting in.
You are make the change Anna ❤❤ thanks
Great video!
I would consider my lifestyle quite minimalistic at this stage (in younger years that was different but right now I just do not care much anymore and only wanna surround myself with things I truly love).. But yes just looking at the bags I use all the time I would be in the VERY excessive category already 🤪Not even counting the ones that are neatly stored away in the closet, the ones I use with special outfits or that I use for occasions only. And I am just a very normal person 😇 I enjoy having a variety of colors and shapes to choose from and as superficial as it may sound it makes me happy 🥰
Yes! This was exactly what I needed to hear and didn’t even know it ❤
That red is definitely your color season.
