Taking a break to work himself out for a year is maybe the best thing he can do. The level of skill required in major tournaments is phenomenal these days, only the top guys win, and even they lose more than they win. It's about how he deals with defeat, he's not too good at that. Adrian Lewis was the same, he's taking a break too. Come back stronger Callan.
Feel a bit for Rydz, he’s got such natural talent but he seems to always play like he’s got the world on his shoulders and loses his head too quickly, he’ll come good though.
That handshake is standard for rydz ! Hardly ever seen him look at an opponent after a loss …. Great talent … but the worst attitude on tour by a mile … in a sport of such fine margins, he’s got to change ✔️
Callan's just 24 years of age and obviously a little too "green" to cope with losing streaks and more than just one game of playing abysmally; part of his personality in general, it seems. The way he's been handling his losses and, in regards to what he can actually throw, rather poor performances is counterproductive, to put it mildly. You can allow yourself to have bad games, but you can't allow yourself to have a bad mental state because of said games. He has to get to this realisation sooner rather than later or he won't come back full force or come back at all despite his proven skills and talent. So the best for him, I feel, is to step back a bit, take some deep breaths and get a mental coach or whatever. That could help him and find a way to relax at the board. I'd love to see it, since he's indeed a riot at the board, both literally and metaphorically. He's not the only one, though. Adrian Lewis took a mental dive after taking a performance dive, Durrant stepped away - heck, even Michael Smith needed till around 2021/2022 to stay mentally fit despite losing - in other words he had to reach the age of 30 to make that step. But he would be a great role model for Rydz. So best wishes to Callan. Hope to see him come back determined and mentally balanced. 👍🎯
losing is a part of the journey to win and become great. Loss is also a part of life, sport teaches us to handle loss. Rydz should look within him for all the answers and solutions. If he can rise from such a position his rise will be historical.
Fun player to watch. I hope he has a terrific darts career. But... I can't help but think, as talented as he is, if he doesn't abandon or adjust that machine-gun delivery system, he's really gonna struggle with consistency from match to match.
It's looking to me that he is lacking sleep. Bags under his eyes at his age shows bad sleep patterns. It's vital for all sportsmen, often more important than practice.
He has the skills but not the temperament, as in most sports soon as the emotions take over your onto a loser. Maybe he should get some sports psychologist to work with him
He's a poor sport. His display when Close or Klose beat him this weekend was shameful. Bad comb-over. Chokes constantly. His results are a reflection of his character.

tell that to Goldfinger LMAO
Superb video, thank you. Did wonder why he's not playing in PC12. Wish for the best for Callan!
Yeah lets hope he get the help he needs and comes back better than ever
9:03 "Klose but no cigar."
This is such a dad joke-like punchline, and I love it. 😂👍
Shave the comb over off & watch him go
😂😅

That Bobby Charlton comb over will do that to you.
He played with to much anger in the last months...
Should take a break and work on his mental game

Best of luck to Callan☘
Can u upload about why unicorn dartboards r ended

One of my favourite players but always seems like he's hating it...
If you can't take it, take a break! you can't be disrespectful to your opponent when you lose.
It seems quite commonplace in darts.

He needs to get 'Rydz' off that silly hairstyle he looks like Arthur Scargill
Geezer has a screw or two lose, such a disappoint to watch. He needs humbling.
Pipe down mate. Everyone expects him to thrive and win everything when everyone is bound to go through a rough patch at some point
Get rid of the combover!!!
Lol he looks like Arthur Scargill with that hair style! 😂
He's the new Glen durrant 😂
Callan lose your hair style just be you're self no problem. Good luck in the future.
Did he snap them because he has manky looking comb over
He needs to stop cutting his own hair

There not cousins lol
Just another player that will never reach the heights of the game.
I would hazard a guess he likes to snort.
