Newark Catholic never trailed in the meeting with Johnstown. Led by quarterback Matt Carlisle and a suffocating defensive effort which came up with key stops all evening long and recovered a crucial fumbled deep at their own end.
-Slater Evans caught his 8th touchdown of the season
-Nate Williams & Tyler Clark led a dominant defensive line
-Matt Carlisle finished 13/20 for 172 yards pass with 1 TD through the air and led the team in rushing with 49 yards and 2 scores.
-7 different receivers caught passes for the Wave
Newark Catholic extends their winning streak to 4 games and improve overall to 5-2. They visit Hanover Ohio for a showdown on 10/18/2019 with long time rival and #3 state ranked Licking Valley!!
