People might be clowning on 5up, but no joke, this is the most entertaining game i've seen in a while thanks to him. Please, never change, 5up, you're great!
24:37 Aipha’s instant clear of Skadj was actually really big brain play. High risk, but super high reward - wins them the game there (if a neutral killer want present) Surprised impostor duos don’t do it more
Its probably because it is a more obvious play in vanilla, where there are less mechanics and less ways to clear people, pairs become more obvious and questioned throughout the game as that pair continues to be sus for future kills. Third party killers, sherrifs, amnesiacs, lovers, they all take the concept of "hard clear" from vanilla and kind of make it obsolete. When a kill could be a Sherrif, lover, or third party, it becomes less suspicious when pairs don't remain hard clear throughout the game. This makes it a good move for modded, but also means the players who played vanilla for 2 years are less likely to use this strategy, because they're hard coded to distance themselves from their partners.
no it was an incredibly dumb move, it was 5up's idiocy that gave them the opportunity to win. Had 5up not overthink it it was game over for both imposters right there and then
Now, to be fair, 5up MAY HAVE totally and completely thrown the game for crew! BUT. Gumi super deserved that win for not only acting pretty crew, but not even getting noticed by the Aurial as a Pesti!
not only did 5up not piece together that it was the orange boys, when baycon even figured it out, but he also threw the sherrif out as she was trying to get the neutral.. this might have been 5up's worse game ever
IMAGINE if it was a task win tho. They were actually kinda close to a task win, the tasks were kind of spread out among the crewmates. If the people who died early had done their tasks, i think it might have actually been possible.
I genuinely think that on the meeting where aipha clears skadj if everyone didn't start immediately clearing and let 5up say where the body was and what he saw he wouldn't have landed on antfrost
Everyone talking over each other immediately, with Janet even going "I can clear someone!" is peak morning lobby. I've seen times where the person who reports doesn't even speak during the meeting. (Usually Smajor because they talk over him always.)
0:28 if you did a heat map of the Morning lobby - you’d find a lot of people die in O2 round 1. Other places would be on the Storage Task path, Office and Weapons - they would also be hotspots for round 1 deaths.
I don't actually know why people say that he's such a top tier player. There are so many instances where he tunnels so hard that he has to take care to not end up in France. And he tunnels mostly on the wrong person.
@@MyRegardsToTheDodo he's only good at vanilla among us but yeah he's definitely not as good as he thinks he is. he's very arrogant but is not warranted lol
He didn't even make that bad of a play. People are clowning on him way to hard. Voting ant over skadj is the reasonable play. Aipha cleared skadj before he even said he saw skadj kill made it sound like there was a glitch or morphing, plus ant had been sussed the previous round. Ant guessing made it even more likely he was an evil role. Tbf on 6 he messed up bad. He had established skadj and aipha could be a pair. Honestly I think that's more of a content mistake than a skill mistake. He was swapper so he felt the need to use his role. If he gets it right he gets a good video, and ant might still have been bad so if he got it wrong he might be okay. IMO if he wasn't swapper he would of voted out aipha.
Aipha being SO cocky by trying to "kill" at the end... You literally could have just hid in the vent and let the reactors go off to win. But in a way, pestilence's win was a better bittersweet result for the crewmates.
That game was so frustrating to watch. Alpha and skadj were so dumb that they almost won lol. 5up couldn't believe they could be that bad, and then gumi almost lost by assuming the imposter would know they need to hide to win
He wasn't being cocky. I think he was trying to be honorable, by not just hiding in the vent for the win. He wanted to give the neutral a chance, which is nice. I personally feel in a final 2 situation like that, the impostor should call reactor, and win by just trying to evade the neutral killer without staying in a vent
as much as everyone blames 5up for messing up this round, i feel bad that dumbdog, steve, antfrost, janet, and baycon go "5up was wrong???" because 5up is expected to be right. i can imagine how this kind of response would be frustrating for him, especially how from 5up's pov the game before this one he died first. that being said, im glad they didn't give him a hard time after the round was over. instead of focusing on the those who messed up it should be those who made the good plays. aipha made a bold play to vouch for skadj and it succeeded. the game's more interesting when people mess up--we wouldn't have had the epic impostor vs 3rd party duel at the end. (i remember hafu saying something similar that time when janet left the lobby early)
Look, 5up initially believing the clear and voting out Ant is fine. People hardly ever just clear their partner like that, and it could very easily just have been a morphling. It is only us knowing that is it wrong (and hearing Skadj at the start of the meeting that none of them did) that we see it as a bad move. Morphling is pretty common, so it's not at all farfetched to assume that was a morphling, and it was more than posible, especially with how natural and believable Aipha sounded with his clear. Then Ant killing himself as vigi honestly made it worse, because the chance of a caught imposter killing themselves is high, and the chance of a caught crew being vigi and killing themselves is very very small. But tunnelling hard like that and continuing to believe that even after Aipha is then caught the next round is stupid. For no reason, he just went back to the last round, and actually expanded on their story for them that it was a med scan and not just them both being there. And also in such a slow round, the likelihood that they both had scan that late was tiny. At that point you just have to realise you were wrong. There was no hard clear or even plausibe clear given for it. It was just Aipha then. Honestly, that is 5up's biggest problem with how he plays crew, he just doesn't know how to change his mind once he thinks he has it figured out. When he is imposter, or when he has no info and just goes with it, he is good. But as soon as he thinks he has it figured out, he tunnels on that solution and makes the facts fit to it, even when they very clearly don't. This is fine in vanilla, and why he is such a good vanilla player, but in modded there is such an abundance of complicated and also wrong information, and it becomes easy to form the wrong conclusion. This is why you need to be much more flexible, and willing to change your mind in the face of new information.
