"and when you pray for angels, here they are!" has got to be one of the best-written lyrics I've heard in a long time.
It is a play on a saying from WW2. When the Mustangs joined a fight, a common phrase was "The angels are on our backs, charge!" or "Push forward men, we have the angels at our back!"
Mustangs brought true and serious fear to the Germans. The had the best range, could turn tighter, go faster, and had more firepower than their own planes.

It's always cool to have something for the Aeronautica Imperialis. They're way too overshadowed by the Imperial Navy and Astra Militarum.

@@AbyssWatcher745 Well, apart from the Phantine Air Corps, though. These guys and gals are part of the Imperial Guard, due to the unique nature of their homeworld. "Double Eagle" by Dan Abnett is a great read for everyone who wants to get their fix in regards to Imperial air combat.
I swear if one day there is a warhammer flight simulator like Ace Combat, i would abuse the hell of my flight stick.

@@Psychoangel-d23 funnily enough, IIRC the tau deploy actually large amounts of fylers in comparison to the rest of their strike forces. And some of their flyers have titan killers. So while they do not have a lot of armies and all that, when they do commit, they have a good chance to have air superiority (at least in the atmosphere)
@@paulenan9636 The problems come when the Imperial Guard match the number of their flyers, and then add in Titans with antiair cannons and Hydras supporting. The T'au have only ever killed a Warhound-class Titan, never anything larger.
It's my personal belief that they can't kill something larger, because their missiles wouldn't be able to overwhelm the Void Shield quickly enough and the Railguns don't cycle quickly enough to achieve the required rate of fire. That being said, that can be solved with more railguns.
@@ladywaffle2210 that might be true, but it wasn't the point I was arguing. I wanted to express that the IG may have one General who believes in mass deploying fliers. For Tau, that is standard military practice
As an avid player of aeronautica imperialis this song is amazing
the Valkyries get the glory. The Hydra flak tanks on the other hand get the kills.
The Stringstorm effect strikes again. First I was a little iffy about the song, mainly the voice but think I've just played this video like 3/4 times back to back now 😅, can't get enough it especially with all my aeronautica models I've got

It’s about the Aeronautica Imperialis/the Guard’s posterboy pilots. I suspect there’d be less mention of “enemies of mankind” and how they were fighting for humanity if it was Battletech.
Unless something changed, String never said he’d stop making music about Warhammer in the original community post from after TTS went on hiatus; he’d just be making songs for other franchises too.

I believe it’s a 40K song due to talking about Angels (Space Marines) and the Valkyries
I think WH due to the talk of angels and the thunderbolts , marauders aircraft which are imperial craft WH
I think Avengers are also a Aircraft in 40k
From what can be gathered from the lyrics, the Aircraft names I identified are the Avenger, Valkyrie, Vulture, Marauder, and Thunderbolt. No Lightning though unfortunately unless I missed it.

Not your best work, but thats more the fault of your best being brillant rather than this being bad. And i prefer the navys anyway.
I'm not a fan of this one, it could just be my taste, or the effect that happens to all art and artist and that isometimes the quality isn't going to be amazing, sometimes it's going to be mediocre and that's okay. As a wise salesman once said "a parade of mediocrity is still a parade"
