Hi everyone! thanks for stopping by.
FYI, that cage is not their permanent cage, it is just a temporary cage (maternity cage) .
i start to separate the babies around 30 days since they still breastfed from their mother .
and at the very end of the video, again, it is not their cage . i temporarily put them in a small transparent box in a short period of time just to get picture/video all of them in one shot.
30 days hamster (all of them) has been adopted
So, I have two syrian hamsters, one is female, one is male. I keep them separated in to cages ( fish tanks ). But one day, the male hamster tried to escape from his cage. Instead, he accidentally got into the female hamster’s cage! I separated them as soon as I noticed but I think it was just a little too late.. I’ve noticed that my female hamster is showing signs that she is pregnant. Now it’s been 18 days, her belly is very big, and she almost sleeps for the whole day. She could be having her babies in about 1~2 days or even today! Whoever reads this, pray for me and my hamster that she will not end up eating her babies 😭 I researched and did stuff so that she won’t eat her babies (6 years ago, I had a pregnant hamster and she ate her babies even though I didn’t do anything to her.. I even kept her in a quiet room and hid her cage so no one would see her)
Edit: she just had 15 babies!
Another Edit: sadly one of them died a week ago but all the other hammies are growing just fine :) so there are currently 14 hamsters, and we found homes for 5 of them :) hopefully more people will come to adopt, but we are going to keep a few of them too.
What are you gonna dos with the baby hamsters? Once they become adults they will fight to death if u dont separate them!

I just bought a Syrian Hamster yesterday and she's showing signs of pregnancy for example shes taking all her food and putting it in a corner of the cage (tank) and I put some tissue in there and she started making a nest out of it where her food is and she is being really aggressive not shy aggressive anytime I try to change her food she starts screaming and biting me she looks a bit big around the stomach for a Syrian
The pet shop told us she was a male but you can clearly see the female parts and everything the workers probably had her in with another Syrian in the back where the other animals go before putting her on display in the shop coz they thought she was a boy so they probably had her in with another male
Just in case she is pregnant I'm doing research on how to treat a pregnant hamster and how to treat the babies

Edit:she gave birth to 15 babies yesterday but 4 died so now there is 11 babies

We just recently got a new syrian and we're trying to tame her, she was 1 month old when we got her, its been almost 1 month since we got her too.
She is very scared and will take some time till she is fully tamed.
Hamsters are the best, change my mind.;)

My hamster is now 31 days old...its 7 babies so i have 9 hamsters

Вот смотришь на этих малюток и думаешь:как скоротечно время. 25 дней и они уже не зависят от мамы. Самостоятельные. Мне хомячки очень нравятся. Жалко, что у них короткий жизненный цикл. А за ними можно наблюдать часами.
