Hello everyone! For those who happen to read my facebook status, I said in the past that my piano solo arrangement of this song did not do the original justice. My piano arrangement just didn't cut it. I thought it lacked the capability to transfer sufficient emotional impact to the audience, so I scrapped it.
Then I thought of a collab version. Verd- I mean, Joanna was kind enough to lend me her beautiful viola skills and now we have this! I think this is sooo much better than just a solo instrumental, especially since violas and fellow stringed instruments produce a more voice-like expressiveness that cannot be duplicated on the piano.

Also if you haven't noticed, I'm using a new sound. It's still Synthogy, but it's the Fazioli F308. The bass on this sampled recording is less than that of the Steinway sound that I have been using, so the melody voices in future videos will sound more defined and not covered up by the bass. Hopefully this will be an improvement in sound quality~

Every time I hear this song, I can only picture Iri hugging Kiritsigu, desperately trying to save him.
This was gorgeous. It always makes me so emotional, Irisviel is one of my favourite characters and her and Kiritsugu's love is so tragic..

the lack of any pause or hesitation before the new phrase begins and 0:36 has always bugged me a little about this performance that is other absolutely stellar and amazingly beautiful.

this one is probably his best (personal opinion), it has so much emotion, when I first heard this melody I fell in love with it, now I constantly play it when I'm tired or feeling depressed it helps sooth my soul 😇

so lovely, this song brings so many feels to my heart, Kiritsugu and Irisviel were a beautiful albeit tragic couple and Fate Zero is one of the best anime i have ever seen
On this video, I used the Italian Grand (ie. Fazioli F308). In the past videos I've been using the German Grand (Steinway D).

Just finished Fate Zero yesterday. I have never watched/read any Fate series before this so I wasn't fully satisfied with the ending. I love the quiz Grail (or that Angrya however you spell it) gave about which ship would you save.

Fate zero is a prequel to FSN(Fate,UBW, and HF route), and it's most closely related to the HF route of the VN. All I can say is that it would be good to have played HF before watching Zero but you can also watch Zero without having any previous knowledge of FSN. Just go and give Zero a shot.
