Booker is the beneficiary of a few wide open shots or slightly easier defenses due to high focus on Durant. Booker also got 6-8 FT's on ticky tack calls that won't get called every night... Booker still great and had great game
ANT on the other hand, is constantly getting double teamed and drawing the opponents' best defenders. He doesn't try to draw the CP3 style ticky tack calls and gets his teammates motivated and involved. To top it off, hrs way stronger on the defensive side of the ball

I kind of hate comparing him to Jordan and Kobe because those two are very similar to each other in their games and how they run/lead a team. Ant is not a drillboss, hes not toxic, he doesnt kill guys like BJ Armstrong, and weed out weak players, he builds them up, gets them to buy in, massages all the egos and bullsh@t, hes may LOOK like Jordan or Kobe but he has the personality and the charisma of Magic Johnson. There is something about him thats just different. You dont see him having the locker room stuff that KG had with Marbury or Sczerbiak etc. Also he actually believes KAT is the best offensive player. Not the most clutch but KAT can score legit 60pt games and Ant I dont think he thinks he can do that yet. He may be more clutch but KAT is literally Un guardable if he wants to hoop, so there is some ego massaging there but there is also a kernel of genuine belief in it.
Ant is great, but Luka, Giannis, Jokic are still playing. The narrative of an American player being the face of American league is too much. Granted Ant has all the tools to become the face of the league, but u gotta be the best to be the face of the league. Ant is not there yet.
the things i really like about this young man, it's his confidence and the confidence for his teammates. He's super mature and a playoff performer. Probably in the top 5-10 in the ligue right now.

The thing that helps Ant a ton is time and the examples he has around him. KAT and Rudy are two people who both have had awful reputations in the NBA. Not even necessarily by faults of their own but by media dragging them through the mud. They’ve likely given him a ton of advice, about how to deal with them and to avoid getting into trouble with them. If the media likes you they will plaster you everywhere. Plus he has legitimate offensive talent. He gets to practice against Gobert constantly, and learn from KAT’s arsenal of moves. As much credit as ANT deserves I bet having two vets like that around him has helped him an insane amount.

I will say I think Ant is a much better leader than Booker and actually the majority of stars (from what I’ve seen), and I think he has great potential, but as of right now he is just not the best shooting guard in the league and not a lock for the next face of the NBA

The idea of D Book or Tatum being better than Ant is so crazy to me. You watch Any play and you watch the impact he has on the game, while the other two you feel like you could throw any other good player in there and the team would be in the same spot.
