Thank you SO much for this tutorial!! Your tree looks amazing! One thing that seems like it would help is to have a nice full tree as a base. We have a pretty old tree that has giant empty spots here and there, but I think I can still make it work by filling in the holes with ornaments and placing the ribbon where it's more full. I have done ribbon in the past, but not very well and still got compliments, so I know that your way will be a show stopper!
Thank you so much for your comment, I'm so happy it was useful💖! However, I actually find that if you've got a kinda sparse tree, using ribbons can be simpler than ornaments. You can easily cover the gaps by attaching ribbons with floral wire, and you won't need a ton of ribbons for that. On the other hand, trying to fill in all the gaps with ornaments could require quite a large quantity🎄.

Thank you so much! Using blue plaid in a tweed was a surprising choice to me, (but hey, who am I to be surprised! I’ve used pink floral in the past!), but with the white see-through ribbon added, it made the tree very unique and beautiful! I agree that the mesh ribbon was a happy surprise. It added a lot of sparkle and combined with the other ribbons, so festive! I’m looking forward to the next video. With this start, I’m excited for the next step!

These are very clear instructions. I am going to try it. My only question is will this work equally as well on a real tree where the branches are not flexible?
Yes, the techniques will work equally well on a real tree, just be gentle, and use floral wire to attach ribbons. Happy Holidays!💖🎄

How much ribbon should I use use to make the cascading bows at the beginning of the video. I always make them too big or too small!
For my 6.5 feet tree I used 2 full rolls of gold ribbons 18ft each
