What is going on now in the federal government is no different than what goes on in the private sector. At least folks are being offered a package deal. They could have just been laid off and had to go on unemployment right away. Also, I lived through two plant closings where I lost good jobs. I survived and actually got a better job than the jobs I had at the plants that closed.
A disinterested, comprehensive forensic accounting audit needs to be accomplished for ALL government agencies. Then the facts need to be released in Presidential press briefings. Let the verified facts speak for itself. No one can ague with this. For any crimes, the offenders need to be criminally charged. And for any lawful, outstanding work, recognition needs to be acknowledged.
