  • 0:00 Oh, it's a latch thing.
0:05 But at least it start now. Before it wouldn't do anything at all.
0:20 The dishwasher door was hitting the cabinet wood on the left side, which was preventing the dishwasher from fully closing, so I scooted it back to the right a little bit.
0:25 If you push on it and press Start it will make a noise.
0:35 It just stops even if I was pushing the whole time.
0:40 It is a problem, but it's not the only problem.
0:45 Start process of getting dishwasher into diagnostic mode
    0:50 Press High-Temp Wash & Start/Cancel simultaneously for a couple seconds
    2:20 Fill Dispenser
2:35 That should last for 60 seconds
2:40 2nd test is fill until the float switch is activated and that runs for 27 seconds
3:10 That sound is maybe #2? Might be at step #3 already, which is WASH, the wash motor is activated. This test runs for 45 seconds.
    4:10 Finished. Yup.
4:15 Small pause for 5 seconds.
4:20 We're at step #5 WASH HEAT, the wash motor and heater are activated. This test runs for 75 seconds.
5:00 This dishwasher is only 2 years old because bought in 2015.
5:50 Step #6 is similar to Step #5, so maybe hard to hear the change in the steps.
6:00 Step #6 is WASH/HEAT/DISPENSER, the wash motor heater element and dispenser vent are activated for 60 seconds.
6:25 Step #7 DRAIN, drain motor is activated to drain the water from the dishwasher
6:30 Sounds like it's draining now
6:40 This test runs for 90 seconds
7:20 Step #8 DRY, the heater element is activated. That will give another 90 seconds.
7:55 Sounds like it finished Step #7 DRAIN, so it's probably Step #8 DRY, heater element already.
9:05 Cycle #8 should be 90 seconds. DRY cycle, the heater element is activated.
9:25 Click. Sounds like it's finished.

To reset this model....unplug from source, wait 30 seconds, plug back in, lights will be flashing, hold start/cancel button down simultaneously with heat wash button. Hold until cycle commences.

I have the row of 4 lights flashing. It happens continually. Without unplugging the unit how do I reset the unit by pressing buttons?

Did you ever figure out the 4 light problem, I did reset it and do what's mentioned in the video, but they just come back. If you had any luck I'd much appreciate any ideas.

@@timjilman3295 One thing an electrician friend told me was that I might have reverse polarity in my plug. I did check it and sure enough, the black and white wires were reversed. We corrected that and found out from him that another major no-no was to have other plugs or lights on that same circuit. Sure enough, some rocket scientist had wired the dishwasher circuit sometime in the past and put it on a circuit with our bedroom plugs and lights. We are in the process of having that changed right now. If you have similar problems you might want to have them addressed. Also, if you ever replace the main board, don't throw away the old one, as the new one might do the same if you have similar problems as we do. I still have problems with trying to figure out what sequence resets the dishwasher.

I tried this and it didn't work. I have the same dishwasher it was hooked up and worked for 3 weeks then stopped working. Only lights show up tried resetting the breaker and what you did here still didn't work.... Idk what happened this dishwasher is garbage

    • @RealtRL
      @RealtRL  6 лет назад

Do you mean after pressing HiTemp & Start simultaneously for a long time, your dishwasher didn't enter into self-diagnostic/debug mode? It's difficult to see whether it does since the LEDs don't do anything. You have to kind of listen to whether you hear things going on that coincide with the expected debug mode time-frames. I thought I published those time-frames somewhere here, but maybe I published them somewhere else. Without those notes, I guess you could listen whether the sounds my dishwasher made in this video match the sounds you are hearing from your dishwasher. Let me know how that turns out or if you get new info.
